SO SNEAKY! Some greedy job dynamics are addressed in the "Border Control" chapter, too.

"Interviews with Norwegian women and men working in male-dominated areas of finance (asset management, markets, investment banking, corporate banking, and within large corporates) found that fathers did usually take their parental leave entitlements. However, as with the study of Swedish fathers mentioned in chapter 3, they did so in ways that enabled them to cling to the clients on which career success and big bonuses are built."

!!!!

"For example, they would take the leave on Friday afternoons or in quiet periods like the summer holidays. Mothers, in contrast, took longer leaves in a block. As a result, they would have to hand over their clients to someone else and rarely got them back."

!!!!

"This is a classic example of a greedy job for which there is a wage premium for constant and continuous availability."
