This brought up so many questions

Moira Donegan on Twitter: "It’s Thanksgiving, but today is also the International Day to End Violence Against Women. I’m thankful for the decades of activism by feminists—pushing for legal change, building shelters, and raising consciousness—to help women escape and survive, and to honor those we’ve lost." / Twitter

Why did so many women friends and relatives of mine experience violence from men? Why does the patriarchy train so many people to not feel comfortable about caring enough to be able address this stuff? Why is 18 women being murdered by a serial killer not all that newsworthy? Why have only x% of women been CEOs or Presidents? Sigh. I am grateful for progress, but sometimes I want to live on a better planet.
