"Picture this: America’s so-called 'immigration crisis' has turned into the biggest gravy train in Washington, D.C.. Not for families, schools, or hospitals — but for the deportation-industrial complex, a machine that hoovers up taxpayer dollars and spits out corporate profits.
And just to make it even more obscene, some members of Congress are riding the stock market coattails of the very companies cashing those government checks.
The Billion-Dollar Bonanza
Congress’s One Big Beautiful Bill poured $170 billion into immigration enforcement. Of that, $75 billion went straight to ICE — the fattest budget in the agency’s history (American Immigration Council).
About $45 billion is earmarked just for detention, enough to house more than 100,000 people per year (Brennan Center).
Another $30 billion goes to raids, deportations, transport, and logistics.
Translation: ICE isn’t a law enforcement agency anymore. It’s a publicly funded jobs program for private prisons and Silicon Valley surveillance bros."
