Ah, another opportunity to look and listen

It's also a reminder of how great it would be if some people were more inspired to do the work to heal from their own traumatic experiences.

Because in addition to remembering that certain traumatized persons were trained to cope with their reality by making insensitive jokes about domestic violence and suicide (while working amongst a bunch of other academics who don't appear to care about such things....apparently, they have to keep their heads down in order to collect their paychecks from their colonizers...) another charming experience that comes to mind was how some of how the wounded feel compelled to poke fun at the phrase "Si Se Puede."

As in, "That's a little too 'Si Se Puede.'"

As if to say, that's too naive and idealistic.

Honestly, where do the traumatized people even get their energy?
