It really is quite something

...when you know there are successful people who have come into contact with a person of certain talents and praised and lauded and held this person up, and absolutely benefited from doing so. Then, when it starts to become apparent perhaps this person was not quite the exemplar they all wanted to pretend...well at this point,  there is an opportunity to express a little compassion for those who were wronged. Or maybe even to say, this is hard, this news some news to struggle with. But do they do either of those things? No! They don't say a word. Why not?

Perhaps it is because they had already heard some of this information, but still chose to ignore what they heard because it was far more convenient and definitely in their interest to do so. Could that be it? Because those "other" people just don't hold the same "value" for some reason? How is that even fun?  How many other abusive behavior patterns do they turn a blind eye to every day in order to be successful? How many other people do they make excuses for in order to make money? It doesn't even make art look like fun anymore when people do that.
