Sexism is a discriminatory pattern that Scared Patriarchy wants people to keep on repeating.
Discriminatory behaviors and attitudes towards x kinds of people which got inherited from outside forces certainly can feel quite hurtful.
Sometimes when people get into a certain closed mentality, they start to indulge in smaller minded ways of thinking.
When some start to act like "That's just how we deal with life, and it is like a fun bonding experience for us," that is sad. And it also feels like it is a weird way of being controlling that is very unnecessary and unhealthy.
So maybe instead of being sucked into those old discriminatory behavior patterns again, some new patterns will begin to emerge, to start helping people figure how to find much better things to do with their time in the future!
