Have you ever watched this riveting drama?

"Call the Midwife"

Is it okay if I ask you question.

Does the following phrase sound like it is complaining:

"Why did some girls get trained to kill off their capacity for empathy more than others just so they could make themselves feel better about discriminating against girls and women and about fitting in with an imbalanced patriarchal system?"

Or does it sound like a valid question?

Some people were raised to go along with the following expectations:

"Girls should be good at listening and being supportive of others, and boys should be good at talking and competing for resources. Who cares if boys aren't good listeners? That's what girls are supposed to be better at doing."

"Girls should never complain about anything, and they should always be positive, but if boys complain, there's obviously a valid reason for it, and that's why their words deserve our attention and that's why their opinions are taken more seriously."

Humanitarian vibes.

"We are sorry if we accidentally brought you up with some rather racist, sexist habits, and if we encircled you with needlessly discriminatory social customs, that wasn't our main intention, and now we want you to know that human beings can change for the better, so we don't need to look like unwell, prejudiced jerks to the little ones when they start developing personal empathy for others."

Maybe it's time to re-discover some values.

Some could benefit from re-discovering the value of acknowledging some things now before accidently turning into one of those racist ancestors other people made excuses for and knew they could not emulate.

Healthy people do not feel the need to discriminate so much against others...

"But you must remember these people really are products of their time."

Were a lot of people actually unwise enough to discriminate against all the ones who were providing them with their food supply in the 2020s? (And in the U.S., they were helping prop up social security for older folks as well.)

It does seem unwise, but you must remember these people were products of their time, and their conditioning rewarded a lot of them for being prejudiced against certain kinds of human beings from a very early age.

As a consequence, being discriminatory felt almost as natural as breathing to some of them.

Parts of their upbringing were nurturing, but other parts definitely were not, and since they were taught to discriminate at a very young age, they were still highly insecure people who found the most comfort in physical possessions or owning property or taking vacations because this made them feel as though they were worth more to their society as human beings.

Emotional validation was a big thing for them and physical possessions were their most reliable sources of that validation as they were growing up in an insecure, sexist, racist, imbalanced environment that was fueled by fear and prejudices.

So when they discriminate or devalue you or act flaky, you can just know they are actually being fearful and they are mostly running away from their own pain.

They are doing what seems best to them to try to escape being caught in a web of pain and confusion.

However, the people who are more healed from their traumas do not need to discriminate against others so much in order to feel safe and happy.

They don't have the same problems as American Trump supporters, but they still have problems.

"'Overtly racist’: Lawsuit challenges Canada’s migrant farmworker system

Canada’s half-a-century policy of tying migrant workers to their employers denounced as modern-day slavery."

https://www.aljazeera.com/news/2024/2/9/overtly-racist-lawsuit-challenges-canadas-migrant-farmworker-system

One small moment, but impact felt forever.

I'm thankful I had someone in my family who specifically told me she knew people could be prejudiced against immigrants and that it was not okay with her when she heard people being prejudiced towards them.

Time to go back to sleep again.

I feel sick that some people chose to be so uncaring and insensitive to others as their survival strategy in this lifetime. Well, I know I really don't want to be like them, that's what I know now.

I suppose some of the descendants of the prejudiced people might be kinder and wiser.

“'If we lost half of the farmworker population in a short period of time, the agriculture sector would likely collapse,' Mary Jo Dudley, the director of the Cornell Farmworker Program, told Investigate Midwest. 'There are no available skilled workers to replace the current workforce should this policy be put into place.'"

"GRAPHIC: Here's why mass deportation could affect the nation's food supply"

https://investigatemidwest.org/2024/11/20/graphic-heres-why-mass-deportation-could-affect-the-nations-food-supply/

Is that a really positive thought?

There you were, acting entitled to discriminate against people, and treating those other people's children badly, in exchange for propping up the ways of patriarchal white supremacy again, and it still didn't feel good, but anyways, maybe tomorrow could be much, much, much better???

I'm sorry that a racist, sexist president who dehumanizes some people more than others got elected.

I think it would be good if some people were a lot less addicted to discriminating against other kinds of people in this lifetime. Because, even if discriminating against certain kinds of people was normalized and encouraged and rewarded more in their society than it would have been in others, and even if it became a big part of their identity so that it altered them significantly and influenced their choices as they got older, they still definitely did not need to go along with the discrimination as much as they did.

Maybe you do care, because...

Even if lots of forces in society trained some people to act like human rights for certain kinds of people and lots of different kinds of girls and women should not be important enough for them to act like they should care about it...

And instead, it should be more important to place a few specific kinds of people on pedestals, and ignore all the others...

And that only being satisfied by the distraction of a nice house or a fun vacation is what's good enough for them...

That's okay, but that's not good enough for you.

Caring about civil rights is good enough for you.

Caring about having a healthy society to live in is good enough for you.

Caring that you are connected to others is good enough for you.

It's kind of too bad.

"Harrison Butker has no regrets over controversial commencement speech"

https://www.usatoday.com/story/sports/nfl/chiefs/2024/05/26/harrison-butker-no-regrets-controversial-commencement-speech/73861921007/

He didn't feel the need to address the disappointment some of us have felt about seeing how some chose to turn themselves into the kinds of people who are  willing to degrade and dehumanize others in order to fit in with certain old societal standards.

But he wouldn't do that. Would he?

Because he wants others to uphold those old standards, and he wants to dehumanize other kinds of people, and he wants to be aligned with the people who find it easy to dehumanize other people and who lack empathy and who have apathy and who want things to be stagnant for others.

Too bad he still needs to rely on such a small-minded vision of what the good life means to him in order to feel good about himself.

Other older people don't do it, so why should they?

I also think people should stop making excuses for certain older people when they make racist and sexist comments.

The ones who make the most excuses for the racist and sexist older people are more likely to become racist and sexist older people themselves someday.

And then people are going to say, "Oh, don't try to change them. They're too set in their ways. That's just how they are. Just move along and don't hang out with them too much if they say things that bother you."

And then one of them gets elected president. And does more damage.

Yuck.

Damage done by damaged people just to put on a show, a weak facade of fake toxic positivity.

Not sustainable. Not good enough for humanity.

You should expect better.

Why you?

"It's that I had to train my brain to be more accepting of such bigotry, to feel entitled enough to lack empathy and to exercise more apathy, in order to fit in with others, so I could function better and feel good about my chosen society."

Well, I don't think that's a very good excuse.

"Well I think it's just worked out absolutely fine for me."

Whatever, cold-heartedness.

Too much honesty, again.

"It's not that my house and my bank account want to degrade or act superior to you based on your background or gender or sexual orientation. Those are not sentient things. It's me."

"I'm the one who got encouraged to act that way by other people."

Too honest, honestly.

"My value system helps me dehumanize others and that's what I trained other people to do too."

You can became a person who cares more, like you used to be.

Food and other nice things in your life all came from somewhere else. No need to be so good at forgetting about that just to shut out other kinds of human beings.

"State Rep. Bryan Posthumus says lawsuit over farm worker’s wages ‘politically motivated’"

Sigh. Voice has another question. Of course.

I already know from experience how mean some people can choose to be when they feel like they need to put up a weird defense mechanism to justify their choices.

"Do you also feel it is important to teach the impressionable young people that it's more beneficial for them to be just as uncaring and cold-hearted?"

~ There goes that voice again.

Why don't some people seem to want to care more about others?

It's probably because some people got more rewarded for lacking empathy for others, or for cultivating apathy about what happens more than some other people got rewarded for those same things.

Maya May on X: "Almost 90 million eligible voters didn't vote. That's more than the number of people who voted for either candidate. We don’t just have an empathy problem, we also have an apathy problem. This is a problem that has to be fixed from the ground up.

The GOP is never going to let up on voter suppression (which produces apathy) so how do we take the power back and show people the power of their vote? That’s the conversation I'm interested in having."

(Are you really going to have to write a book about the perils of "family values" getting warped whenever some people have been convinced to reinforce old prejudices and allegiances to propping up patriarchal white supremacy? What if it really was the best thing for them to do, or for them to survive, just because a lot of their family and friends and neighbors voted for the guy who did not care about their human rights at all in 2024?)

Hmmm.

As you become more and more aware that all humans must have their basic necessities provided for them by the labors of others, there's evidence that none of the old ways that some people settled for in the past can possibly remain that way forever. Because it's not sustainable.

Some peoples' version of family values would seem stronger...

If their "I act like civil rights for girls and women and people who are from different backgrounds from me are meaningless to me," vibes, along with their "Whenever I surround myself with selfish people who prefer reinforcing discriminatory practices and propping up patriarchal white supremacy, I get praised a lot more for it'" messages weren't constantly getting in the way of "Just seeing the positive side of things."

Moreover, the "I used to stand up for the rights of girls and women more before I became convinced that this was the better way to be" energy only serves to highlight the problematic aspects of the values they've projected.

How can that way of being in the world possibly continue with all the children and grandchildren?

I do not see it continuing.

Don't they need to be able to afford food in order to have their basic needs met and enjoy the entertainment?

Book About That Bad Man Gatsby.

So 19xx's.

Those were the days...

That Coveted Patriarch Status is an awful burden, but still...

I wonder which children your dad's friend's wife is going to have to dehumanize today in order to make your dad's friend feel special and deserving enough? Eeeesh.

Anyways, not everyone chooses to live like some of your dad's friends have chosen to live.

With their old reliable "It makes me feel giddy with importance when I can convince people around me act like someone like you is so worthless compared to someone like me!"  coping mechanisms they inherited from Their Patriarchal Culture.

Just accept reality. Gross and sickening, but there it is.

"My wife dehumanizes other human beings because I'm not a very nice guy, and that's the best way for her to be able to get along with guys like me."

"Also, we both have lots of unexamined notions of racial superiority in our heads, as well as loads of internalized misogyny."

"We're just trying to live our lives, and we do what we can to make the best of it."

Not today, thank you for asking.

Would you like to meet the author of "Every woman adores a fascist who makes her put down her own children in order to place him on a pedestal at their expense" if that's also the kind of person who's definitely not going to be any better to other women's children? Well, not unless her favorite fascist has instructed her to be nicer to them.

Now Back to Silver Linings Mode.

"Give thanks to undocumented immigrants..."

I really do not want to be like them.

Your relatives who got so warped by Patriarchal Society that they constantly have that vibe of "I can convince others to discriminate against and dehumanize people just as much as I have chosen to in this lifetime in exchange for more acceptance and attention and material possessions."

Did you learn any nursery rhymes?

"Do you remember ‘Peter, Peter Pumpkin Eater?’"

https://www.capecoralbreeze.com/opinion/local-columns/2013/10/11/do-you-remember-peter-peter-pumpkin-eater/

Sexist people in show business and the other people who put them on pedestals have that Big Abusive Patriarchal Trump Worshipping Energy even if they and their friends think of themselves as liberals.

They are like Peter the Pumpkin Eater and they are addicted to locking away their better selves in pumpkin shells.

(The nursery rhyme says Peter locked away his wife in a pumpkin shell.)

They have mutilated themselves just so they could feel comfy enough with dehumanizing other people to fit in with their Cult Following Abusive Patriarchy Worshipping Peers, and it's sickening to see it.

You know.

You should not believe that acting like your creepy, narcissistic, shallow relatives who apparently think that joining the cult of worshipping the Unwell Patriarchy and routinely dehumanizing and discriminating against other human beings as their preferred way of creating things while conducting their lives is the best option for you. Just because that's what they chose to do with their lives doesn't mean that's what's going to be best for you.

What happened to the guys who used to be nicer people when they were little?

It really is quite impossible for me to emotionally mutilate myself in order to fit in with some shallow men in show business who apparently trained themselves to disrespect a lot of girls and women just to be in alignment with the unwell patriarchy.

They constantly surround themselves with other men and women who also disrespect most kinds of  girls and women on this planet, as if that's now their comfort zone.

Why?

Was it just so they could fit in with some other unwell show biz people?

Those guys remind me of cult followers, just as much as the people who supported the misogynistic fascist entertainer who got elected president remind me of cult followers.

I guess those guys got the guy who matches their narcissistic, greedy, disrespectful energy, no matter who they voted for.

You should know better. You were a much better person when you were little.

Great!

He should make more balloons for the much more toned down narcissists he's already surrounded himself with, and I would rather any of them be president instead, and that's really saying a lot.

Maybe you or he should check on the emotional age more often.

I wonder what his emotional age is right now.

"Sheinbaum shared a Spanish-language message about the conversation, writing, 'We reiterate that Mexico’s position is not to close borders, but to build bridges between governments and communities.”

Both leaders characterized the call as positive. The two spoke after Trump on Monday threatened to impose a 25% tax on all products entering the country from Canada and Mexico as soon as he takes office. Trump said, 'This Tariff will remain in effect until such time as Drugs, in particular Fentanyl, and all Illegal Aliens stop this Invasion of our Country!' He also threatened to put an 'additional 10%' tariff on goods from China.

This week’s news was somewhat reminiscent of Trump’s claim ahead of the 2016 election that he would make Mexico pay for '100%' of a proposed wall at the U.S. border. Enrique PeΓ±a Nieto, Mexico’s president at the time, disagreed. Mexico did not pay."

It will be good for us to become less and less xenophobic.

"Being Latino doesn’t make voters immune from 'racism or anti-immigrant sentiment or anti-Blackness,' she said, as many have been taught to 'idolize and romanticize whiteness.'

'That racial baggage is one that we’ve carried in this country and through American politics for a long time,' said Ramos, referencing the glorification of white identity in Latin America. 'And I think [that] has now been finally revealed in very clear ways through Trumpism.'

Many Latino voters may have a more distant relationship with immigration, and hold xenophobic beliefs themselves, said the producer and author Dash Harris.

'We cannot act as if the Dominican Republic isn’t deporting thousands of Haitians right now,' she said, referencing the ongoing removal of Haitian immigrants from the country by Dominican officials, a practice that has received international outcry. 'If Latin Americans are migrating from fascist countries, they are going to support fascism in their new space. It’s a continuum of interest convergence.' The rise in far-right leaders in Latin America and the continuation of 'Nazism, racism, homophobia, transphobia, sexism, misogynoir: is unbroken 'in the western hemisphere,' she said.

Trump’s xenophobia was also intertwined with an economic message that resonated for some, Ramos said. 'In every single message: ‘[Immigrants] are taking your jobs. They are coming after you.’ … Inevitably, particularly if you’re part of certain ecosystems, you’ll start believing that rhetoric.”

"Why Trump’s racism isn’t an issue – or enough of one – for some voters of color"

https://www.theguardian.com/us-news/2024/nov/21/trump-racism-people-of-color-voters

It's almost like racism and sexism are bad for society instead of good for it.

It's almost like, even if acting like property owning men with money who have no respect for people of other backgrounds or for women or children was the strategy that some people wanted to pursue in the past, and that felt comfortable enough to them, and that even sometimes felt like a nice, bubbly, warm, hot tub of coziness to them....even if it was good enough for them in the past, there's no guarantee it's going to continue to feel that way for them in the future.

And there's also no guarantee that it's going to feel that way for their descendants, either.

Probably, it won't feel that way for most their descendants, actually.

Change is inevitable.

Who you choose to vote for does not stop change from happening.

Change is inevitable; that's what life is all about.

The descendants might not be wanting to fit in with the insecure unwell racist sexist people as much as that one ancestor on that one side of the family felt that she or he had to in order to fit in with the neighbors, you know.

Another kind of scream could also be interesting.

The scream of the grown women who are like "I can't believe I actually voted for a felon and a rapist and a racist just because he's a rich white guy who lies to everyone, and I voted against the children's best interests, as well as my own best interests, and my country's interests, just to appease my small-minded social circle.

Maybe the children will have much better men to be their role models in the future than I had after this debacle.

Who knows?"

Here they come to save the day...

The people who won't feel like they have to be as prejudiced as their ancestors were in order to survive in their societies are on their way...

How could anything stay the same forever?

I'm watering the cup now.

Well, when the universe had to send me more violent, unwell, unhappy men to deal with just so I wouldn't ignore the problem and go along with what other people were doing, I simply had to deal with those circumstances.

Superior herbal tea...πŸ«–

People shouldn't have to starve to death in order to acknowledge others' humanity.

I wonder if next year will be better?

Deceased racist chauvinistic Great-Grandma's "You're quite worthless next to a property owning white man" values are showing on you again.

Someone had to pick those herbs.

Well, I like herbal tea better than I like diet drinks.

They're just working things out on another level right now.

Diet drink lovers actually love the immigrants who pick their healthy foods just as much as they love the white guys with more money and property and social importance in their Patriarchal Culture. They're just really good at hiding it.

Sure the immigrants feed you, and have been doing so for your whole life.

But why aren't you more grateful for the diet drink lovers who would have been so much nicer to you if you were in a man's body in this lifetime? LOL! Do you think you're going to eradicate their deeply internalized misogyny all by yourself? That's ridiculous.

Ah, feelings!

Today I reflected that when some of my feelings get filtered by a mindset which goes "I will be so grateful when certain people get a lot better at cultivating their own curiosity and developing a deeper capacity for empathy towards others on this planet, including those whose experiences have been different from their own," I may also have to remind myself to realize that's a preference of mine, but it might not ever happen with some people, and it's not a necessity for continuing to learn about living a life on Our Planet Earth.

We can do this...πŸ’—πŸ™πŸΌπŸ•Š️

Surely, I can learn to evolve and do better.

This is hard. I need to learn how to focus on getting better. I want to feel more well than I've been feeling.

I really have to learn how to get better at accepting healing for my body. Please God, help me.

In the name of expanding horizons (even in these trying times!)

What if you can, like, find more of the people who aren't so colonized that they have to constantly prop up narcissists at the expense of others (even including their own descendants sometimes) and see what else is out there?

Society made racism and sexism feel like other people were being stoned to death.

But society made racism and sexism just feel like a comfortable and bubbly soak in a hot tub for you.

You would have made so much of a better impression.

If only you hadn't acted like you had to constantly degrade so many girls and women, and the people from other cultures, and the people with less money, just so you would be able to feel more important, and able to survive your harmful, shallow, uncaring, patriarchal society, which trained you to dehumanize others.

Not going to turn myself into a guy just so the sexist people (who could either be men or else women with deeply internalized misogyny issues) will start treating me better, "more like they would treat a man."

Are you prepared to get deported in your next life?

Are you going to be considered a valuable human being?

Church / School / Community...whatever

I don't think you should be racist and sexist against people just because that's the kind of church you went to when you were growing up. It was the kind of church that taught you to be selfish in that way, and to degrade other human beings.

Who instilled those values in you? Who instilled those values in you?

Did the American people just allow somebody to be elected who makes them feel more comfortable with their own propensity for being self-absorbed and selfish and greedy and not much invested in caring about other people's human rights as long as their own immediate needs are being gratified?

Why did you do that?

Why do you vote liberal but you still have so much energy invested in acting like you think white guys with money and property are more important than everyone else? Because that's really a lot of worship of guys like Trump energy right there. So even if you voted liberal, what you actually put out in the world was more worship of guys like Trump energy. Your energy was stronger than your vote.

Why are some people more obligated to care about a person's civil rights than others?

Isn't it weird how it seems like I'm obligated to care about other people's human rights and yet there you are still acting like you're not feeling obligated to care about that kind of stuff at all?

What if you find some people with better values to hang out with and they also have money and property?

Can you not find the men with money and property who also  treat real human beings way, way, way better than you were trained treat them?! And maybe those people could be a good influence on you!! And then you'll turn into a nicer person again like you were when you were a little kid before you got SO warped by Societal Patriarchal White Supremacist Values.

I know you were exposed to a lot of racism and sexism in your tender years.

But why do you still have the compulsion to act like so many kinds of  human beings are so worthless compared to others, and how you choose to treat certain men with money and property now that you are a grown up reflects those "values."

Boohoo, they want civil rights.

Boohoo some people don't want to care about their civil rights, because it's so inconvenient for them.

And they apparently need to rely on their allegiance to patriarchal white supremacy just to feel safe and to stay in their little privileged lifestyle bubbles, boohoo...boooooo.

Their survival strategy was showing up again...

The more privileges some enjoyed, the more they felt entitled to dehumanize and shut out others, which was so depressing, but also a  lesson about how some people changed their personalities in order to develop certain lifestyle survival strategies.

"Two nights ago, our country signed a four-year contract to enter into what will be a very explicit instantiation of 'domestic abuse' in America. It would be great if we had the option to just leave, to 'break up,' but we don’t. We’re all living with an abuser now—two of them, actually, about to take the helm of this American ship, and a band of henchmen doing their bidding and carrying out their missions in the dark. Millions of others—many of whom are teaching our children, caring for our loved ones, running our corporations and institutions, and leading our local governments—brokered this contract against the will of the rest of us..."

Okay.

Stop worrying about the people who are being small, selfish and mean; they exhaust you, and they do not add to your life, and you need to focus on repairing your own health now.

So sad.

She who keeps getting sick again and getting exhausted needs to figure out new ways of getting better and to stop expecting other people to be wiser because they disappoint and it's too much of an impairment to good health to expect them to do better right now.

I really do.

I wonder if some people wake up asking themselves, how can I hurt humanity by emulating self-absorbed, greedy, selfish assholes today?

It's not.

When you act that way because you got a message like that's what your old great grand ancestors would have wanted: for you to be so greedy, racist, chauvinistic, exclusionary, and uncaring, so that acting like no one matters except for whoever caters to the ego-centric pampered small-minded people who continue the unethical cycle of prejudice and exploitation, and that seems to you to be the "right way" of doing things.

The racism is disgusting.

The people Trump wants to deport help prop up your social security for you. And they feed you.

Such bias!

Maybe if some of you had gone to churches that taught you to be much nicer to all kinds of human beings, you wouldn't be so exclusionary or still acting like unethical patriarchal white supremacy is your best friend and your old reliable crutch to lean on.

You'd be much nicer to lots of kinds of people, including girls and women from lots of kinds of different cultures, instead of always needing to rely on the pampered prejudiced white guys with the most money, and treating them with so much sickening favoritism.

If they were in different bodies, your prejudiced little minds would drop them like hot potatoes.

Where's the humor?

The cool new class, "How to develop into a more humane person for the rest of this lifetime before you find yourself reincarnated into the body of one who will not be quite as pampered by the unethical white supremacist patriarchal culture" has started.

OH THE HUMILITY

Just think, when some people grow up, they won't any longer want to ruin their own country by appointing a man who's a narcissist and a racist and a liar and a sexual predator to run things.

Asking a very unwell man to be very  bad to them and their families and their children will no longer seem like such a great idea, anymore! They will expect better things from life!

I really am looking forward to the day they reach their potential.

This one was set in Pearl Harbor.

I think it made some mention of prejudice and racism. That stuff was supposed to get better, not worse.

Even if that was how your culture raised you...

Being insular and exclusionary in order to feel "protected" from outsiders and to gain materialistic advantages is not actually very sustainable.

Sorrowful question.

When the "fortunate" people have to be so cold and exclusionary towards others in order to "protect" themselves, just to feel that they can have some good things in life, are they really that fortunate?

Now I'm optimistic again!

As a reincarnated white guy (I mean, this is not untrue, I have tons of white guys in my ancestral lineage) it's been really, really heart-warming to see more of them making a huger effort lately.

Also considering Renee and Nicole.

I think the rule of these books' covers is the guy that the heroine has an extra picture with on the front cover is the one that she's not going to end up with.

Like, way less popular.

That's an idea, too.

Who do you hang out with who do not feel like they have to put down so many kinds of women and girls, and the "different" types of boys and men, as much as you've been doing?

Can you, like, hang out with them more?

And try to emulate their behavior more?

If you hang out with different people, soon you'll have a whole different set of standards to consider.

It could be good to broaden your horizons...

Some of you should get out more to find new communities of people who have healthier mindsets. I mean, you could just find more people who aren't still being pressured to fit in with the same smaller minded people so much that they feel they must act like they don't care about human rights for most other kinds of people, for example.

Like, why some people have called someone "Orange Mussolini" as a nickname, for example.

What if he's so racist that he's maybe even secretly racist against himself?

Isn't he also a descendant of outsiders, people who immigrated to America?

"Trump gave us another example Sunday, when he reshared a social media post with footage of dark-skinned people walking in line. The accompanying text said: “If you’re a woman you can either vote for Trump or wait until one of these monsters goes after you or your daughter.”

This was straight-up 'Birth of a Nation'-style racism being promoted by the standard-bearer of the Republican Party."

Do your friends who go to churches seem into Jesus?

Or do your friends who go to churches seem more into racism and sexism and fascism?

Hmmm. Racism and sexism seems to be his thing, and seems to be some other people's thing as well.

"Trump’s campaign is maniacally focused on anti-immigrant fearmongering, so, much like with that post, the message here seems clear enough, no? In essence: 'Women, fear the dark-skinned people' — and not the old white men who want to wield control over your body (and your daughter’s) and keep you in abusive marriages."

Do you think Jesus would approve?

So, you have some churchgoing friends.

Have your friends been going to churches that worship fascism, or churches that worship Jesus? Also, wasn't Jesus sort of more about love, and not so much about worshipping fascists?

Is this because they are deeply worried about the welfare of disadvantaged children, like Jesus would be?

"Trump’s mass deportation vow has some in the farm and construction industries spooked

For good reasons...

Just because you got used to acting like disrespecting basic human rights for girls and women is just normal and palatable and that you can be okay with it just to get along with the other prejudiced people doesn't mean that's an option for everybody.

What if life gets nicer when you get out of that hole?

What if you find some people with higher self-esteem than the ones you kept catering to and they can help you out of that hole of self-serving prejudice and bigotry that you've fallen into?

Do you not feel able to have higher standards yet?

Why are you still catering to sexist, racist people who don't care about human rights for most kinds of human beings and are just basically addicted to acting very selfish?

That's not "good person" behavior.

There's far too many categories of children and girls and women that you and your conservatively minded friends were trained to be dismissive towards and be casually prejudiced against in exchange for some supposed extra feelings of security or status just to be more accepted within some very small-minded circles. It's very uncomfortable to see it happening, to say the least.

Why not find much more admirable people to look up to?

People who don't want children or women to be sexually assaulted just so they can feel like they  have more status or money or a feeling of importance to their society, for example. Surely, you could get better at finding a lot more of those kinds of people to look up to?

It makes me sad to know it's true.

Lots of children have been degraded and made to suffer unnecessarily just so some smaller minded people could get excessively praised and put on pedestals.

While you're overcoming your deeply ingrained prejudices...

You should wipe that look off your face that says "Every veteran who isn't a pampered white guy is a worthless piece of s*** to someone like me," just because you were raised in such a small-minded uncaring selfish patriarchal culture.

They should do it for their own health, too.

People who were encouraged to disrespect girls and women and people from other cultures and people from different racial backgrounds should work harder at overcoming their prejudices.

I wonder how some people's parents would act differently if they had much stronger values?

Your house appeared in my dream???

Well anyways, it was weird because somebody's house came to me in a Dream and it was all like well my dΓ©cor is just here to communicate that people in this house used to stand up to their racist sexist relatives and advocate for human rights when they were young and idealistic but as they got older it was just too hard and so now our primary function is to appease our racist sexist mother-in-law I mean no sorry s*** I didn't mean to say that it was the one Grandma who was racist i mean the deceased great Grandma who was racist yeah no not the mother-in-law not that please do not type mother-in-law please please type deceased racist sexist great Grandma, yeah, that's the problem over here.

You know what's really disappointing?

When your stubborn propensity to act like our human rights aren't all that important to you, just so you may get indulged a bit more by the patriarchal culture than others, takes over, and that's what seems to make your decisions for you.

And then, how often your attitude says that in your view, the rest of us just deserved to be either abandoned by untrustworthy, flaky people, or stuck with catering to more violent, uncaring people.

What a brave confession from some candid voices!

"Acting like abusive men are more important than everyone else is what feels the most familiar and safe to me, personally. It formed the very backbone of my complex PTSD riddled identity. It's been a lifelong survival strategy of mine, because that's how my unwell, insecure patriarchal society wanted me to act and think and feel."

History's been interesting to human beings.

"As she sought to galvanize young voters, one Alabama woman, 89-year-old Loretta Green, wore a shirt adorned with her poll tax exempt certificate from 1960, granted to her because she joined the military. In the years before the Voting Rights Act was passed, most Black people living in the South did not receive an exemption, and they had to choose between paying a tax to vote or using the money to feed their families. 'This is Why I Vote,' Green’s shirt read.

Meanwhile, in Tulsa, OK, the oldest living survivors of the 1921 Tulsa Massacre, 110-year-old Viola Fletcher and 109-year-old Lessie Benningfield Randle, cast their votes for Harris. In recent years, Fletcher and Randle have led efforts for reparations for the survivors of the massacre. Though at the time they were just seven and six years old, respectively, both women still have vivid nightmares of the massacre and destruction of Tulsa’s Black Wall Street—the aftermath of which still reverberates today.

Now, the once-vibrant district is now plagued by high poverty rates and lower life expectancy. For the women who have experienced firsthand the extent of racism and hatred that has historically been inflicted upon Black people, it was meaningful to be able to vote for a Black woman.

'If this is my last ballot, then I’m grateful that it’s for Kamala Harris,' Randle said as she cast her ballot during early voting.

Election Day also marked exactly 56 years after Shirley Chisholm became the first Black woman elected to the US House of Representatives. Four years later, Chisholm became the first woman and first Black candidate to seek a major party nomination for president of the United States. Though Harris, like Chisholm, ultimately would not be elected to the presidency, November 5, 2024, proved to be a historic night in other ways—two Black women were elected to serve in the Senate for the first time in US history."

Society’s prejudices and griefs are showing.

Many people received training very early on that certain types of men are simply far more important to consider than other kinds of human beings on this planet, but it is still very jarring to witness how some continue making certain choices based on that training they received, and to experience the effects.

People should get in touch with their better sides.

The truth is, there are also people who think of themselves as "liberal," and who did not vote for the most corrupt guy, but who still act like white men are more important than everyone else in so many ways, and so many other ways, that, well, it almost seems inevitable now, when I look back on it, what the result of this election turned out to be.

I think I know why somebody was elected president this time around.

I feel like more people should know that when some of you choose to stay stuck in your little bubbles of "white men are more important than everyone else," because that's apparently what makes some of you feel the most secure, in the most temporary of ways, it actually is really hurtful, not only to me, personally, but also to society as a whole.

Thank you! 🌱🌧️πŸ•Š️πŸ’žπŸ™πŸΌ

Basically, what some people in this life have taught me is that I really hope they get a lot of the help and nurturing and caring that they didn't get and needed when they were in their formative years.

Whatever that means for them. If it's just being by themselves for a while or getting in touch with the healing power of nature...(Well, I can see what appeals to me today, hee-hee...)

Or if it's having a good group of people for them to co-regulate with...whatever they need...

I hope they get it.

Because their trauma and their sad stories and their circumstances are stull not a good enough excuse for them to be as prejudiced against x types people as they act like they are, sometimes.

Oh well, I guess that's just how it feels, sometimes.

Back to the healing beauty of nature!

🌱🌧️πŸ•Š️πŸ’žπŸ™πŸΌ

Today's lessons.

Humans deserve healing more than ever. Also, human beings are vulnerable and deserve care.

I will get better at focusing on healing and love today because that's what's required.

I'm sick and my body needs me to get so much better at healing. I will get better at focusing on healing today.

Core memory triggered.

Me in the at home daycare at the age of six, and the little boy who was from a different culture was the most interested in wanting to make friends with me.

Learning to treat a sad throat with care and respect.

Lately, whenever I see evidence that somebody feels the need to treat certain kinds of abusive, wounded men better than they feel the need to treat other kinds of human beings, I must admit I can still feel rather sad and shocked, and it's a bit like a slap or an icy bucket of water thrown in the face, but I also know that there's this part of me which feels thankful to not be in the right kind of body for them to ever put me on a pedestal in that kind of way. I think that kind of stuff is it's own burden.

What if they have "dominant ethnic group" features / problems?

I am capable of being even more optimistic.

However, in this life, I will not be turning myself into a white guy for the prejudiced people or their children, just because they chose to act like only the white guys are the most important ones, compared to all the other kinds of people in humanity, and when they chose to act that way, they did so for their own very self-serving and short-sighted reasons.

I can't wait to see.

How can your children be better to other people than what their prejudiced relatives have role modeled for them?

Your nice house was never the problem.

It was the prejudiced, self-absorbed, uncaring unempathetic, sexist, racist, selfish, greedy mindset you chose to take on in order to survive in your society. That was the problem.

It's wonderful to see you evolve.

Soon you'll be a lot better at celebrating all kinds of human beings!

I'm so proud of you for acting like other people, besides abusive white men, are important to humanity, even though that clearly was not a strong part of the values you were raised with!

Looking forward to more enlightenment.

And to seeing more who wish to degrade other people's children much, much less than they were expected to degrade them yesterday, even if a number of small-minded people in their communites still really wish they still would degrade others just much as they have been doing, just to make them feel better about their own small, selfish choices.
