If their "I act like civil rights for girls and women and people who are from different backgrounds from me are meaningless to me," vibes, along with their "Whenever I surround myself with selfish people who prefer reinforcing discriminatory practices and propping up patriarchal white supremacy, I get praised a lot more for it'" messages weren't constantly getting in the way of "Just seeing the positive side of things."
Moreover, the "I used to stand up for the rights of girls and women more before I became convinced that this was the better way to be" energy only serves to highlight the problematic aspects of the values they've projected.
How can that way of being in the world possibly continue with all the children and grandchildren?
I do not see it continuing.
