I have renewed respect for the cat ladies who were seen as crazy.

I'm talking about the women who lived with cats and it was like the cats were their best friends and they would hardly ever talk to people. And they were called witches.

And there were so many women hermits doing stuff like that. They became a scary story that the so-called normal people would use to frighten others. And for some people, the fear-mongering persists to this day. Like, oh you really don't want to end up like her. 

Why not?
