If one has a bit of creative spark, part of me thinks I'd rather be a woo-woo weirdo tiny little undiscovered hobby artist than a great successful artist. Sorry. People can get really warped by needing to make a living under a patriarchal society's terms.
But then again, why should only the people who are jerks and assholes who align themselves with the patriarchy ever be the ones allowed to be bigger and more successful?
So I think you have to just try to put your health first, and try to figure out what is best and most healthy for your constitution.
