Patriarchy wants patriarchal parents to behave like eugenicists. They are cruel and insensitive, and I will never act like them, like I am better than others, based off of something about me biologically. There's nothing about behaving that way that benefits children. It's all ego and its learned from the unwell Patriarchal culture, which wants to be hierarchical and oppressive. These are the same kinds of parents who don't give a crap about women's health issues, too. Lack of empathy reinforces the cruelty. Woe to the children who can't or don't replicate their genes. So very sad.
