People make excuses for guys like Amber Czech's killer all the time, and that's a harsh reality.

If the violent guys don't actually kill somebody, you'd be amazed at how many men and women who told themselves they care about other women will still pull out old programs and start acting like  making excuses for male bullying and violence is totally normal. 

Well, it was normalized for them when they were growing up. Lots and lots of excuses were made. Sometimes people who got used to normalizing male bullying and violence will not feel inclined to be very good friends to you in your hour of need.
