Change is good. Maybe it's all right not to be a big fan of geniuses.

It's like, the old way encouraged the anointing of "geniuses" and then gave them permission to dehumanize others and abuse their powers. 

Instead of saying, oh, this person is immensely gifted in this area but still has room to grow in this other area, we'd say "This person is such a genius!' 

And then, if they showed themselves to be actually human and lacking in any area, was that to be discussed? No, because this is a genius who must be worshipped as such.

Clearly, money was also involved in this.

Then the geniuses would get off kilter from all the crazy fans worshipping them, and they'd go and be abusive to a certain set of people, and people would just make excuses for it! To the awful detriment of all of humanity.

That doesn't fly anymore.
