This kinda also reminded me of when I was telling a man that I feel like many workplaces are still designed more for men or for certain kinds of women with "perfect" menstrual cycles who were trained to act like men are more important than women.

Time to go search for something liquid or very soft to put in my mouth.

The back of my cheek still feels all bruised up. I had a fat tongue for such a long time, its like I got the "red hair gene" (but I didn't have the red hair to go with it) because I need to get extra numbing stuff in me. Sometimes when I go home, I'm more numb than when they actually worked on my mouth. That's why I can still feel it a little bit when they're working on me. How do we know how long to wait until it's at its peak effect and then they work on me? That's what I want to know. Had some back molar issues, and I might have to see somebody about the front tooth again because I don't know if my gum completely accepts what's there now. Isn't it quite the challenge to be alive in a human body sometimes? Well, I guess the internet is still here to remind us that everyone deals with these challenges differently...

In a way, the burgeoning inequalities have a usefulness about them, but humans still deserve so much better!

When people are systemically trained to go along with inequities in order to gain access to resources, they get taught that expecting better makes them outliers, and there could be real consequences for not going along with those old programs.

But it also seems like when more people feel they have permission to access their innate curiosity and their willingness to learn new things, they become much more interested in finding out how humans can address a lot of the imbalances that some larger systemic forces have wanted to reinforce.

It would have been great to have some of these conversations sooner!

But at least more people are having them now, right? Better late than never.

"Erich Fromm (Author of The Art of Loving)"

https://www.goodreads.com/author/show/8788.Erich_Fromm

Subtle shifts have happened before and shall happen again.

"Evelyn’s allegiance to popular styles ensured her pictures were fashionable – Ariadne at Naxos (1877) sold immediately to Rt. Hon. John Mundella from the Grosvenor exhibit – but she cared very little for the values of movements whose aesthetic qualities she borrowed, instead seeking to use her canvases to present her own socio-political concerns to a wider public and act as a catalyst for change. In her early pictures, this is more subtle in order that her pictures could be recognised as Aesthetic. Certainly, with its desolate, dreamlike beach, richly draped female gazing away from view and limited palette, Ariadne is – stylistically – an Aesthetic work of art. However, the title of the work gives the picture narrative, which was against the Aesthetic code. Ariadne is depicted alone and abandoned on the island of Naxos, a point in Greek myth when she has been left by her lover Theseus, who is traditionally painted sailing off into the distance when artists tackle this theme. Evelyn has instead put the female character at the centre of the canvas and dressed her in the red robes of Christian martyrs, successfully yet subtly imbuing the painting with a subtext about female suffering and abandonment by the patriarchal society she lived in."

https://www.demorgan.org.uk/discover/the-de-morgans/evelyn-de-morgan/

In every era, interesting choices are made.

"Evelyn began using her middle name, rather than her Christian name, Mary. Used as a Christian name for both sexes, Evelyn submitted her work under this name to ensure it would be judged on merit and not marked down because she was a woman in a man’s world."

I can be grateful for others being willing to share knowledge that I don't have as much access to yet.

"Live in conscious partnership with your body's energy. It's how you become your own best healer."

Donna Eden

https://youtube.com/shorts/fLMsGbTTmc0?si=orBm1Ro7ru4vrm5M

I really believe she wants to help people on Earth. I don't find it so easy to change quickly overnight, but I am grateful for others who have more knowledge than I have, and for them being willing to share and give a glimpse of how much better things can be.

Could better times be just around the corner?

I really want to get better at being healthier. This year I had health setbacks and I experienced down times and was not always at my best. Real trauma and real fear was being processed. There's also the issue of physical things happening to the body at this time of life. And I felt like I needed to look at some things that were informative about what I have feared happening, kind of like inspecting the shadow side of things, and reading about what happened in other times. But I feel like perhaps I and other people have done enough of that now? Is it really possible to be on a more healing path in the future?

I cried recently about some things and I was really sad about losing a tooth due to stress related things. I mean I can't really ever get that back now and that's so permanent. I just wanted to cry and cry but then I took a shower and then I just had to, I don't know, try to help myself get better. Lots of people on this planet have lost something at some point, and sometimes it's permanent, but you find ways to go on. Maybe we can be reborn everyday.

The past is past!

Now I want to stretch and feel the present!

As much as I like reading about certain time periods and learning about the Pre-Raphaelites, I begin to feel stifled if I read about it too much. Thank God I don't live back then now.

Actually just acknowledging that feeling allows me to read about it just a little bit more though. Part of me really does enjoy looking at their paintings!

Onward!!!

I wonder if I wanted to reread this book because it seems more honest about some old customs?

"May and Amy" by Josceline Dimbleby

https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/432458.May_and_Amy

For me, it's about how societal expectations impacted women in another era. And I actually think some of that still carries over into the present day, even when it comes to decision making sometimes. The book also seems to have a kind of "waking up to the knowledge that we deserved something better" message about it.

And this song came to me when I was looking at the book last night.

"INDIAN WELLS, Calif. (KESQ) - An Indio mother said Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agents surrounded her family’s car outside her 9-month-old son’s autism therapy session at Accel Therapies in Indian Wells, and detained her husband.

Maria Alcaraz said her family had just arrived at her sons therapy session when several unmarked trucks boxed them in.

Alcaraz spoke with News Channel 3's sister station Telemundo 15 and below are her responses translated to English.

"When we were going to turn around to enter the clinic, a truck got behind us," Alcaraz said. "They never identified themselves at all."

Alcaraz said her family came to the U.S. legally on visitor visas and later started a taco and hot dog stand during the pandemic. She said their growing social media presence also brought threats.

"We started to receive a lot of negative comments on social networks. How they were going to report us to ICE," Alcaraz said.

She said her family has no criminal record.

“We have no deportation orders," Alcaraz said. "My husband never resisted."

Alcaraz said agents later returned to their business attempting to detain her as well.

She said her husband remains in ICE custody at this time as the family awaits answers.

News Channel 3 has reached out to ICE officials and are waiting for details of the operation."

Processing sadness. Systems are set up so that people are made to feel that they have to abandon others in order to gain access to temporary benefits. Sigh. It's incredibly sad.

Monday, September 15, 2025

A very somber truth has come to me.

Some people who have done things that were incredibly disrespectful to others were very lonely people and I know that this is true and it's not comfortable but people who have been very bad to others sometimes really needed a lot of help and they didn't know how to ask for it. They have humanity.

That's an interesting idea, too.

"How to survive when some people made it clear that they weren't ready to go where the universe was asking you to go."

I think I get it. Humans need the "luxury" of taking care of their health very badly.

Gratitude for a dark room and loving a cold pack of chilled rice in a cloth sack sewn shut.

And the universe is all quiet and somber in the uterus.

Some things are just unbearably sad at some parts of this cycle. This is real stuff. This is no lie.

It might balance some things, you know?

I have a headache. Maybe I will listen to music for the purposes of healing great sadness.

"How to Get to Freedom Falls and Rockland Furnace in Venango County" - Uncovering PA

https://uncoveringpa.com/how-to-get-to-freedom-falls-rockland-furnace

Update: What if this was what was what I was really looking for? Ha.

There may be so many good reasons...

If I am changing at a pace that's more glacial or slower or messier...that's a better one for me, at the moment, since that's the part of nature that's helping...

To help myself, I was able to hear a bit more...

I want to get used to honoring my ability to be spiritual because I came into contact with some of the tough creative people in the not too distant past but I couldn't go along with them as I had so many of my own issues to pay more attention to but sometimes I get more from the universe by listening to songs that have come here to help humans learn how to honor more parts of themselves.

Perhaps many people are slowly shedding their old ways, and so am I...

Sometimes it can seem like all the people who touched a part of me that was hurting are like brothers and sisters who have their own mixtures of roughness and vulnerability too.

Can remember more sometimes.

Like how the art that reminds me that not being so tough might be a great gift for human beings is so beautiful too.

Mitski - "My Love Mine All Mine (Official Video)"

https://youtube.com/watch?v=vx4kLgnFexo&si=D5CW-WzZT05LhiTY

"So that all kinds of flowers can bloom" came to mind.

I struggled to find the words for this because I do think some people might be able to handle or bring messages to the ones who are a bit tougher and some people are better at thriving in rougher seas and it's fine if they're better at living large but I can tell that I need to go through a lot of healing right now as a matter of survival and there's a bunch of people who got trained to act like they should be "tough" but that's not healing enough for me to be around when I have to deal with these particular circumstances but everyone evolves and one day some others may come back to be in a different body or mind or deal with new circumstances and a lot more evolution will be required then but this is not about comparisons so much as it is about the universe welcoming more difference and diversity so that all kinds of flowers can bloom.

May the best healing help humans.

I am glad I can live with a nice man and a cat. But I never knew things would be like this, and there's so much healing that I hope the universe will help me with. I feel need to heal more from some upsetting experiences. Some people aren't very sensitive about how they are with others, and it's really hard to understand why they chose what they chose sometimes.

When some seem meaner than necessary and they want to act like it's okay for them to be that way, but you can tell it's not really okay and it's actually so harmful, it's a situation that you can ask for more healing energies to help you handle. And maybe there is some harm that is accidental and not really intentional. And yet healing still needs to happen because the stuff that happens in this realm shows that humans deserve much better.

It's so hard to change for the better! And yet, it could be so easy!

Anyways, if that first dude was better at basketball (with a real "killer" instinct) instead of just drying dishes, then even sexual assault & getting children killed in unnecessary helicopter crashes would be really cool with some people.

Now it's time to go work on some more relaxation for health reasons!

"The Inherent Truth About Being A Woman"

https://medium.com/the-mission/the-inherent-truth-about-being-a-woman-ab44f8825f9f

Why? Because it just feels so familiar to us to be like that.

Juxtapose the ridiculously high rate of school shootings in this country with saying motherhood or parenthood is the greatest thing ever while not caring about the health of so many different kinds of women and girls when there are are multiple health factors to consider, and thanks to collective willful ignorance, combined with dogmatic belief systems, intersecting with legislative processes and the inability or unwillingness of the medical establishment to stand up for their patients, things are becoming more medically fraught and dangerous for the well-being of so many human beings, psychologically as well as physically.

Patriarchal worldview is not looking out for others.

Why does the patriarchal worldview seem to want so many women to go along with unsafe patterns just to feed some egos and to make certain personalities feel better?

"How being too nice can be dangerous for women"

https://www.psychologytoday.com/us/blog/the-compassion-chronicles/201908/how-being-too-nice-can-be-dangerous-for-women

"Nice Girl Behavior Can Be Dangerous: Fear Factor"

https://www.psychologytoday.com/us/blog/the-compassion-chronicles/201908/nice-girl-behavior-can-be-dangerous-fear-factor

And another observation about human behavior sometimes...

People will train children to go along with what they want and to ignore their own emotions, and that can have consequences as people get older and repeat those learned behaviors, because they feel that's what they need to do in order to be able to feel acceptable to some people.

It was good until it wasn't.

I was trying to figure out why some people seemed to be able to go along with certain things when I couldn't go along with them as well, and as I was eating, I had a strange experience that seemed a bit instructive.

I made some pasta and some olive oil and chopped garlic and fresh basil leaves and roasted tomatoes and a little bit of salt and pepper.

I started to eat my pasta. Everything was going great but then I had this one bite and I had to spit it out because something about the tomato was off or bad.

Suddenly I got a memory of being a kid at a birthday party and everybody was eating pizza. For some reason, when I was handed my slice of pizza and I bit into it, it was one of the worst things I had ever tasted.

I looked all around me and everybody else was enjoying their pizza and the mother of the birthday child sank her teeth into a slice as well.

I couldn't understand why everyone was enjoying it when I just could not stand the taste of it.

Biting into that bad tomato with the pasta reminded me of that long ago moment with the bad slice of pizza that I got.

I don't remember getting sick or anything. I do think the taste of it made me feel rather sick. I think I tried to take one or two bites to fit in with the rest, and I just couldn't eat any more than that. It was one of the worst things I had ever tasted and I couldn't believe that this is what everybody wanted to eat at a birthday party.

It's not that I dislike pizza, at all. I don't know why, but something was off about that particular slice, and that was the one I got.

Making the health efforts again! ๐Ÿ˜‚

It's not so much that a desire for power or money destroys curiosity in some people.

But some people can feel their needs so strongly that, sometimes, their desire for acceptance and accolades, and their fear of not getting those needs met has, in the past, almost wiped out their natural curiosity to learn more about what's going on in the world.

Exciting changes could be coming.

Smushed in the Wordle before midnight.

I wonder why I thought nadir meant pinnacle.

I have to have more "healthy" fun because my body's a special snowflake in this life.

Still, there's probably a part of me that needs to have a very raw, unpolished life.

Because for a small time as a child, I was so good at saying my pleases and thank yous, and it was complimented by some elders but wasn't that much fun for me.

People who have to suck up to the patriarchy all the time in order to have a job are good at saying their pleases and thank yous, and I can't do it.

Have to figure out something else that's healthier than that for this special snowflake.

Learning how to live a better life can be an art, too.

Sometimes when you get put into certain situations you realize there might be a reason why your path needs to be different. Weird stuff has happened in my life which has made me think there's a part of me that has this creative side that could someday work in certain areas. But things always come up that are like, health related, and it's like oh, I can't go into that arena right now.

Today myself and another person had to tend to somebody at an outdoor event who was very overheated and dehydrated, and it was going to get worse fast if someone didn't help. And it was quite stressful and I don't really feel like I have the training to do that, but anyway, we did our best and succeeded. But that was a lot, and on the way home I felt pretty sick and headachy and thirsty myself. And then as soon as I got home I was so much better and I was so grateful for the peace and the quiet. It wasn't perfect peace and quiet. There was people outside doing stuff and making noise sometimes.

But the peace and the quiet to be had was so, so, soooo awesome and amazing. It's was so very, very rewarding to finally get in touch with that feeling again.

Would my cat like a sound bath? Hmmm.

I think she did like it. She was anxious and then I started tapping on her different parts and telling her she had special areas on her body like a special head, special neck, special, special side, special butt, etcetra, while playing the sound bath and now she's all relaxed.

Maybe be open to messages from the universe...

When I lost a crown and most of the root canaled tooth (and it was a horrible shock because it happened during stress-chewing) and I had to go and get another one (after being warned it might not work and a bone graft and probably a bridge or a tooth implant is in the near future), this was sent to me while I was sitting in the dental chair just because the good person thought it was funny.

"He has a pause button ๐Ÿ˜น"

https://www.reddit.com/r/OneOrangeBraincell/s/cxs2FpzSyy

Does that look like a crown on the cat's head is helping it stop biting? And kind of a tooth crown-colored crown at that! I just had to make a big deal of it for myself. I wanted the universe to help me! So I got this video.

Something else cat related occurred to me.

When I had problems with chewing and biting out of stress and then I got a kitten who turned into a bitey cat I began to wonder if cat's issues might reflect things about the humans they live with. So maybe more healing of the human can help the cat heal, too.

Could a cat who adores gravel be grounding? What if?

"One of the benefits of grounding is its potential anti-inflammatory properties. Inflammation is the body's response to injury or infection. Acute inflammation can promote healing and help you feel better. But if you develop chronic inflammation, it can harm healthy parts of your body and cause disease. Making contact with the Earth's surface neutralizes free radicals — unstable atoms that can damage cells and cause aging and other diseases — with electrons from the Earth.

Grounding is also believed by some to improve mood and promote stress relief. Research has found that grounding may increase serotonin levels in the brain. Serotonin is a neurotransmitter that regulates appetite, mood, and sleep. Higher serotonin levels are associated with increased feelings of happiness and lower stress levels."

Ah, the truth.

I'm going to get better at learning how to relax. There's been enough tension and stress in this life.

For example, I do believe that there are people who made judgments that were quite wrong in the past and I have held on to resentment about that sometimes, to the point where it probably affected me on multiple levels health-wise.

But I don't want to anymore.

I just want to learn how to get better at relaxing now.

I want to do this more often.

Lying on a bed and zoning out while looking at a tree and being sure that my body deserves to relax now is my church.

Glory be to the universe of peacefulness.

Stressful stuff happened today and it was not fun and I am so grateful to just lie down in a peaceful place now. Really! Thank goodness for this moment of letting myself feel peace come back to me again.

Peaceful helpful stuff.

"The brainwashing that was just palatable enough for me will certainly be palatable enough for..."

(Or alternately, certainly not...)

Better is knowing how to be more helpful to yourself.

Then it would not feel like you have to abandon the people who your patriarchal programs trained you to abandon at a young age. This happens all the time. It is not original.

Of course I must safe (lol, I meant to type "save") myself.

But as far as being good helpers, the more feminist girls & women on the internet are usually the best ones for me to reflect on these days. I also get a lot of guidance from appreciating spiritual people sharing their wisdom.

Ow. Pain from cleaning activities?

"Carpal Tunnel Vs. Tendonitis: Identifying The Symptoms"

https://www.henryford.com/blog/2023/12/carpal-tunnel-vs-tendonitis-identifying-symptoms

Using power tools that vibrate?

How about using vibrating bullet setting on shower nozzle to try to do laundry type stuff so you don't have to go out and feed quarters into the machine for such a small load.

Two reflections after a nice hot shower.

Sometimes it feels bad that you don't want to even make the effort to dry off your legs after the shower. Instead you just want to wrap yourself in big towels and then go throw yourself on top of another big towel and let the towels do all the work. But then you think, Gosh there must be other people in the world who have fits of laziness exactly like this. I can't be the only one.

A little while ago I was watching that documentary about how ordinary men did heinous things when the Nazis came to power, but there was this one guy who was supposed to do heinous things. But instead of being able to do the heinous things he would involuntarily get these terrible stomach cramps and somebody else would have to go out and do the heinous things. And I was like gosh something about it seems so familiar to me but I live in a different era, so it's not like I'm trying to fit in with some Nazis, exactly...hmmm...what else could it be...

Anyways, it's great to know that other people can do what you can't and vice versa.

Feeling good that I get to celebrate the carpal tunnel syndrome getting better by taking a nice hot shower!

Whose children is that good for, precisely?

Anyways, what if more of the exceedingly wealthy showbiz guys started having a hearts for those disabled by warmongers as opposed to making excuses for you know...you know...I mean, the word genocide is pretty apt.

Wistful wrists...But that pain is temporary, too.

I think I might have something like carpal tunnel symptoms now. It kinda looks like the anti-inflammatory diet should still be in my future, regardless of how the uterus behaves. But things can still improve! ๐Ÿ˜€

"Jerry Seinfeld Compares ‘Free Palestine’ Movement to K.K.K., report says"

https://www.nytimes.com/2025/09/11/us/jerry-seinfeld-palestine-kkk-duke.html

"In a statement on Thursday, Duke University said that it did “not preview nor approve the remarks of outside speakers, and their presence on campus should not be understood as an endorsement of their views.”

“Universities are places where diverse perspectives on difficult and sensitive subjects are explored in a safe and respectful environment,” a university spokesperson said in the statement, noting that Mr. Seinfeld’s appearance “was not announced in advance so the focus could remain on Omer Shem Tov’s spiritual journey during captivity.”

Mr. Seinfeld, who reached the height of his fame in the 1990s with the sitcom “Seinfeld,” has been vocal about the conflict, publicly embracing his Jewish heritage and pushing back against critics of Israel. The latest comments left some student activists on campus “even more disheartened” about the university offering a forum for his pronouncements, they said in a joint statement released on social media on Thursday.

The groups responding included Duke Students for Justice in Palestine, Duke Muslim Student Association, Sunrise Duke and Duke Jewish Solidarity Movement. They said they were “deeply disturbed” by the comedian’s remarks.

“Equating a call for Palestinian freedom with violent white supremacy is not only wholly inaccurate but profoundly offensive,” the statement said, adding that to “suggest that ‘Free Palestine’ means hatred reduces a struggle for basic human rights and vilifies students who speak out for justice and dignity.”

Additionally, the groups said, Mr. Seinfeld’s comments “foster a hostile environment for Muslim, Arab, Palestinian, and allied students, leaving many feeling unsafe and unsupported on their own campus.”

In a new statement on Thursday, the groups Duke Students for Justice in Palestine and Jewish Solidarity Movement called his appearance “the platforming of pro-Israel narratives under the guise of neutrality.”

They accused Mr. Seinfeld of advancing “a false and dangerous binary” that does not represent “a wide spectrum of perspectives on Palestine.”

Mr. Seinfeld, who has two children who have attended Duke, had previously signed a letter in support of Israel and posted an earnest message on social media about his devotion to the country."

There's still much to heal.

Some people have chosen to go along with ways  that are much meaner than others due to their own habits of perceiving the world and because surviving a life on Earth seemed to require that of them, or something, and that's a lot to process and heal from sometimes.

It's a morning thankfulness.
