Syke!

"Noun. Middle English (northern dialect), small stream, rill, from Old English sīc"

"Syke Definition & Meaning" - Merriam-Webster

https://www.merriam-webster.com/dictionary/syke#:~:text=Etymology-,Noun,rill%2C%20from%20Old%20English%20s%C4%ABc

Psych, as they used to say.

Next time on "Comical, apolitical OLD Rich Dude snorts cocaine mixed with fentanyl and hilarity ensues..."

When...

"It's for the best" met "You can just accept yourself if you don't feel friendly."

Huh. It's something new to consider.

Just now, I randomly wondered if an annoying dude actually has damaged dopamine receptors.

I know true cat!

My love is a furry purry complaining honest and awesome feline.

Last hurrah...

Some would have seemed more fun if they weren't still following old patterns which make them act like insensitive, insecure jerks.

Such creepy old colonizer behavior patterns kinds of vibes.

When people make themselves go along with the "I need to shut out others and cozy up to a guy who acts like Christopher Columbus in order to be validated by some very unhealthy rich people who say they are the best ones who can help someone like me survive in this industry" nonsense.

When your body knows a pattern is not good for her, believe.

It's bizarre, how much some people will practice toxic positivity and excuse cruelty just to feel "in control," or more able fit in with others, and pretend things are "fine" when clearly they're not.

The cruelty is so unnecessary.

It feels like their value systems got mangled by their needs to survive their circumstances.

Who cares about human rights?

Sociopathically unwell rich people of many backgrounds who found ways to talk themselves into benefiting from going along with systemic patterns dictated by Patriarchal White Supremacy are not great at that.

Time of day, quality of light?

I keep trying to get the look of being  carefree in the reflection of the window. I'm just lying on my stomach in bed with my lower legs up and toes pointed outwards and my heels tapping together like, I don't know, dolphin fins flapping & that sort of thing.

But every time I try to take a shot, the reflection just ends up looking like a creepy ghost in the shrubbery.

And yet the fortunate people must go on living.

Life provided a peculiar set of experiences and now it has dunked me into small town living.

People are worrisome.

"How can anyone be OK with our tax dollars funding this, I keep asking myself? How can anyone be OK with the fact that innocent children are suffering unimaginable horrors and Americans are helping to pay for it? How can anyone be OK with the fact that Gaza has basically been rendered uninhabitable? How can any journalist be OK with the fact that nearly 75% of journalists killed in 2023 died in Israel’s war on Gaza?

The answer to those questions is and always has been: Palestinians simply don’t count. They certainly didn’t seem to count to the attendees of the glitzy White House correspondents’ dinner on Saturday. The annual event has long been criticized for making the press look too chummy with the politicians they are supposed to be holding to account and Saturday’s event certainly seemed to reinforce that idea. In the middle of what many people argue is a US-funded genocide in Gaza – one in which Joe Biden has repeatedly expressed zero empathy for Palestinians – comedian Colin Jost stood up and told the room what a decent guy the president is.

'[My grandfather] voted for you,' Jost told Biden. 'And the reason that he voted for you is because you’re a decent man. My grandpa voted for decency, and decency is why we’re all here tonight. Decency is how we’re able to be here tonight. Decency is how we’re able to make jokes about each other, and one of us doesn’t go to prison after – we go to the Newsmax after-party.'

A child is killed on average every 10 minutes in Gaza. By the time that Jost had finished his speech, finished waxing lyrical about decency, there were a couple more dead kids killed by Biden administration bombs. By the time they’d finished their little after-party, another dozen kids would be dead. This, people like Jost want us to think, is what decency looks like. And he’s not the only one: American elites are obsessed with toxic notions of decency and civility. All of which tends to be code for: keep quiet and accept the status quo. We must reject this idea. There is nothing more indecent than staying silent in the face of injustice."

But why?

"AMERICANS WHO GET their news primarily from cable are the only people who believe that Israel is not committing a genocide in Gaza, according to according to a new survey that examined the relationship between attitudes toward the war and news consumption habits."

~ Ryan Grim

https://theintercept.com/2024/04/30/gaza-israel-palestine-cable-news-poll/

Maybe later.

"It was hard to think about the finale of 'Curb,' or rewatch the 'Palestinian Chicken' episode, amid the cruelty and carnage of the past six months. The comedy of manners plays with the mores of civilization; it can lose its charm when civilization succumbs to barbarity. In life, as in comedy, timing is essential.

In the closing minutes of the finale, Jerry comes to visit Larry in his cell and tells him that he is free. One of the jurors (a Joe Pesci imitator) evidently broke the rules of sequestration. A mistrial has been declared. 'You don’t want to end up like this,' Jerry tells Larry as he leads him out of the cell. 'Nobody wants to see it. Trust me.' And so Larry and his friends board a flight from Atlanta to L.A.—first class, of course, bitching and arguing all the way home."

~ David Remnick

Rules.

"The Palestine Rules dictate you do the following: ignore every international agency if that agency says anything remotely critical about Israel. Certainly don’t listen to international aid agencies like Oxfam when they argue that the government of Israel is 'deliberately blocking and/or undermining the international humanitarian response in the Gaza Strip.' Nope, the fact that babies in Gaza are dying of malnutrition is all their fault. The fact that children in Gaza are starving at the fastest rate the world has ever known is nothing to do with Israel, it’s the fault of those pesky Palestinians.

The fact that there are an unprecedented number of child amputees in Gaza is the Palestinians’ fault. Let’s be very clear here: if every single Palestinian had fled the land they were born in back in 1948, when Israel was founded, if they’d just completely renounced their Palestinian identity, none of the horrors currently unfolding in Gaza and the West Bank would be happening. Can’t argue with that logic, can you?"

Women's health and modern medical practices!

It comes out to more than $1750 to pay for the appointments and tests to find out you haven't got something serious like cancer, even with insurance, and to get a medication that causes cramps but will eventually stop your excessive bleeding.

To pay out of pocket for an alternative treatment regimen that actually helped you stop bleeding in a way that made you feel better, and including black currant oil and iron supplements and other things, it cost around 20 percent of that amount.

(Not including any future follow up appointments).

Is that right?

"What do they say? ‘What are they going to do, vote for the guy that banned Arabs?’ And the answer is yes,' Amer Zahr, a Palestinian American comedian and Dearborn local, told me at one of the city’s many Yemeni cafés one afternoon. We had both arrived exactly 20 minutes late, matching each other’s tardiness, and he spent the early part of the meeting jokingly insulting the cuisine in Egypt, where my parents are from. Then he got down to it.

He noted with obvious disdain how Biden clumsily waved off dwindling support among Arab Americans, suggesting they will eventually be forced to rally behind him or otherwise risk helping Trump. 'The former president wants to put a ban on Arabs coming into the country,' Biden had said. 'We’ll make sure—we understand who cares about the Arab population.'”

'Imagine thinking it’s a good argument to say to a community that has lost 30,000 people, ‘Watch out for the guy that’s going to ban you.’ You’re really asking me whether I’m going to take a ban or a genocide? I’ll take a ban,' Zahr told me. (The Biden campaign didn’t reply to a request for comment.)"

Lack of vision can be deadly. That's how it looks...

Patriarchal people still want others to reward the privileged ones for repeating old patterns of selfishness even when those ways are so poisonously bad for them.

Poisonous for even the most privileged American parents and children.

Patriarchal Culture wants you to think that propping up those values is what is good for you and your children.

Then, you feel compelled to act as if you are more valuable than other kinds of people in the most off-putting, offensive ways.

Like, do you really think that being more heterosexual, or from the most acceptable cultural background, or having more money, or being more able to get pregnant is what makes you superior as a human being?

Why act like that?

What kinds of gross, crass, Tesla-esque eugenics types of behaviors got programmed into people, and what kinds of rewards do people still get to  make them continue those unwell behavior patterns?

Praise for Problematic, Privileged Patriarchal People?

What valuable life lessons they have delivered.

They really did get certain behaviors and values deeply ingrained into their psyches as innocent young children.

How coldly and stubbornly self-centered and indifferent towards others they were trained to act and behave it still seems, sometimes!

Genocide is Bad.

They inherited disrespectful ways that are not the best for them, either.

Maybe it's better to see the people who are being needlessly patriarchal like forest creatures who are drinking out of a poisoned stream.

They know not what they are doing to themselves, too, by adopting those behaviors.

Aw, learning things!

"Milk toast is an easily digestible food and is exactly what it sounds like—toast soaked in milk. It is typically given to those who are ill or who have a 'nervous stomach.' H.T. Webster clearly modeled this character’s name after the dish."

https://www.wordorigins.org/big-list-entries/milquetoast

Dizziness considering.

Maybe I should become more of a kinda milquetoasty, easy-to-talk to person, like maybe it's possible to be milquetoast in a good way, like, whoever knew milquetoastiness could be so healthy, like, that's peace, man.

I will need to address grief issues.

I got physically dizzy and felt unwell in a store and didn't want to buy food anymore. I want to cry, but I am just lying down with no tears and maybe trying some healing modalities later. When it feels like they'll work. Who doesn't want to cry sometimes? It's a life on a planet of sadness and unnecessary war. I feel very tired, but it's in a griefy way. I am slightly amused by making grief into an adjective by adding a y.

Sometimes, dissatisfaction is good.

Maybe if Conan hangs out more with his slightly more mature friend Stephen Colbert (who doesn't, I think, spy on people when he feels neglected) it would make a difference?

Yeah, I'm pretty sure Stephen Colbert doesn't do that.

However, I'm sure he's made plenty of excuses for other people's antics, though.

I don't think the fortunate ones in Patriarchal Society would like it if poor farmworkers acted like that with "one of their women folk." Such as their daughters, for example.

It's a very systemically biased and classist and racist and sexist type of comedy, and not really all that funny actually, when you see it from a certain angle.

But while my sensibilities and my body can't just go along with their immature coping mechanisms, and while I still feel that this guy should get more emotionally mature, he and many other people clearly feel differently.

And maybe that's why he's better at partying with Netanyahu than with little Palestinian children in Refugee camps.

Grow up.

Don't be two steps away from being an uncaring tiktok Soldier.

Grow up.

I think some of these Entertainment guys are still being too much like frat boys who get the sorority girls to make excuses for them in exchange for materialistic benefits.

Does Conan want to be like the vigilant older sister who has to deal with panic attacks and watch over the little ones and stuff like that in his next life?

Maybe some of his old friends who passed away and are in different lives are already doing that, now?

"Henry Cervantes, farmworker turned WWII pilot"

https://www.latimes.com/california/story/2024-04-26/henry-cervantes-mexican-american-farmworker-turned-wwii-fighter-pilot-obit

"Cervantes is survived by his sister, Jennie Gonzalez, several nieces and nephews, and his longtime partner and friend of more than 60 years, Nancy Kahn. The couple first dated in 1964 when they met in the Air Force, staying together for 10 years before they broke up. Cervantes remained single his whole life.

'He used to say he was married to the military,' Kahn said. When the two reconnected after the death of Kahn’s husband in 2014, she was 75 and he was 90.

'We did everything together,' said Kahn of the last decade of their rekindled friendship. They took care of each other and enjoyed the mundane things after a long and exciting life. Hank, as Kahn calls him, was spry and agile even in his last decade.

But his health started to decline after he developed vascular dementia from a stroke five years ago. He was hospitalized after a second stroke in early March of this year and sent home on hospice care after he lost the ability to swallow.

Kahn said Cervantes died on the same date, April 7, as he’d escaped death 79 years previously when German pilots tried to ram his B-17 bomber out of the sky."

 Peacefulness can be here.

Seeing a nice person help people remotely (a new, older person who needs extra assistance) is inspiring, and it also reminds me there are times when humans can be so good at helping one another.

Seems to be a really weird & repetitive phenomenon, based on my empirical experiences.

I think it's an Unwell Patriarchal Culture thing.

Oh, I guess it makes sense, kind of.

"Nope, still too unwell & sociopathic for you," the universe said, again and again.

They might be more fortunate.

Throughout history, some people who were raised by unwell, sociopathic, uncaring people actually found other kinds of much healthier people to hang out with, in spite of all the unwell behaviors that were performed for them & possibly even normalized by the sociopathically uncaring people.

Next time...

The very stubborn and unwell people with lots of money who are still giving the other stubborn unwell people lots of money in spite of all the senseless violence will be on the other side of the fence, because to be so stubborn is to be sucked into repeating unlearned lessons.

I still feel like some people were acting differently (better) when they were younger than they're acting now (ugh).

I wonder if certain people in the entertainment industry have a tendency to develop more sociopathic traits than the average person, partially as a way to survive their industry.

Just be glad that they haven't been drafted into an army where they'd be killing and dehumanizing people and making jokes about it in nauseating tik toks, I guess?

So much information to wade through...

Lots of ads crowding the space before the end of this article.

"Fifteen-year-old Sam was almost illiterate when he arrived at Bunce Court. He was also broken in spirit, witness to repeated acts of such horror that all his faith in human behaviour had gone.

While his entire family had been rounded up to be executed or transported six years previously, Polish Sam managed to escape the ghetto and go on the run.

Alone and terrified, he lost all bearings of what it meant to be human.

After liberation, unable to find any family alive, he made it to a displaced persons camp. He described himself as 'savage.'

But he took up the offer of going to school in England. 'It took a great deal of love and determination to help us,' he said of the child survivors at Bunce.

He could remember his mum’s love. As Sam got to know Tante Anna, he felt it again.

He went on to be a professor at Humboldt State University in California, where he founded the Altruistic Behaviour Institute."

Wounded Egotistical Control Issues presenting themselves again?

You might have noticed how much some people can have in common with even more extreme personalities, such as Phyllis Schlafly or Trump or Netanyahu.

But maybe it's good to notice these things.

Is being "nice" always the best for one's health?

Sometimes when people want you to be nicer, they're also trying to shut you down and control the narrative.

Sometimes those people have more privileges when they go along with the oppressive systems, and they just don't want to see what it's like for others.

By seeing their addictions to pretending their way is the best way, you know that what's best for them is actually pretty much the opposite of what's best for a whole lot of other people.

There's a recording somewhere in which Sam O. said he had problems with anger and violence when he was younger, especially when he was in the army...it's on the internet.

I was reminded of her again.

Does the universe want humans to become better?

"Like Anne, Barbro was a child prodigy writer. in adulthood, to overcome her phobia of uniforms and to work with horses, Barbro served as a mounted police woman for the Swedish national police force. Anne Frank was persecuted as a Jew, whereas Barbro was born into a Christian family showing that religion can change from lifetime to lifetime. If the Nazis knew one could be born Jewish in one lifetime and Christian in another, the Holocaust could not have happended. Similarly, evidence of reincarnation can help quell violence we now witness in the Middle East.”

No one can be on funny mode all the time.

Oh, this other cat factoid I learned today...

"William Baldwin's Beware the Cat (1561) – a satirical book considered by some to be the first ever novel, which centres around a man who learns to understand the language of a group of terrifying supernatural cats, one of whom, Mouse-slayer, is on trial for promiscuity."

Wow, the first English novel was about a cat? How did I not know this before today, as an English major.

Someday I will go back to that other land...

I think of "Ack, Bill the Cat."

And I guess I noticed this third...

"Before being elected mayor of Dearborn at the age of 31, Hammoud served in Michigan’s house of representatives as a Democrat until 2021. The son of a small business-owner mother and a truck-driver father, both from southern Lebanon, he too has felt the effects of the deepening conflict in the Middle East.

'Both my father’s and mother’s villages have been bombed by Israeli airstrikes. They have all moved towards Beirut now,' he says. 'That’s the reality for many of us who are Lebanese.'”

What and How? Noticed this part second.

“What people are trying to grapple with is: ‘How is it that my family was obliterated in Gaza with American-manufactured weapons? How does that happen?’”

~  Stephen Starr in Dearborn, Michigan

"'It’s very personal’: could Abdullah Hammoud, a Michigan mayor, hold the key to the 2024 elections?"

When I read the story, noticed this part first.

"Hammoud says that while Trump back in the White House is 'the last thing people want to see,' many Dearborn residents have more pressing things to think about.

'I think that you cannot make the argument to them that somehow under Trump things would be worse. What is worse than losing 80 family members? I think that’s extremely disrespectful.”

~  Stephen Starr in Dearborn, Michigan

"'It’s very personal’: could Abdullah Hammoud, a Michigan mayor, hold the key to the 2024 elections?"

Plus, sometimes it takes a while to get the kind of help that you need.

Sometimes it seems as though there's some brothers who maybe "get it" a little more quickly than others. They can be helpful by role modeling "getting it" for their other brothers, who don't seem to want to listen to certain kinds of *women,* (and maybe that's why they don't "get it" quite as quickly?)

Because everyone's had different kinds of childhoods, and different types of emotional wounds from those childhoods, and different ways of dealing with their traumatic experiences, and those are things which probably should have been addressed sooner rather than later.

But many were suppressed by the patriarchal society, which has led some people to feel like they need to channel their angry or sad feelings in destructive ways rather seek other, healthier options such as therapy, (which also is not a "quick fix" by the way, is it?)

Sure, I will click on this, too!

Patriarchal People are complex.

I have read a few books, in school. Or outside of school, on my own time.

About how people get convinced to go along with some very unhealthy patterns.

Is it due to the arrangement of certain circumstances within this lifetime?

Or possibly, other lifetimes?

Which makes it harder to just look away?

I spent a tiny amount of time in Dearborn, Michigan. Sure.

And it is continuously being shown to me that many of us are much more fortunate at this time than starving or orphaned people, or people who have had to endure horrendous medical treatment, because somebody decided American tax dollars should fund genocide, and I still wonder, how has this has happened?

Wow, everything.

"Rep. Joaquin Castro: 'All of us have seen the tragedy of Gaza. We have seen how Prime Minister Netanyahu’s government has used American weapons to kill indiscriminately, to force famine, over 25,000 women and children dead, tens of thousands of missiles and bombs levied on innocent civilians. We cannot escape what we see before us every day. … Are we going to participate in that carnage or not? I choose not to.'”

Apparently, both prejudices and pesticides can be very bad for human beings

“'There's something deeply unjust and sick about our society,' says 47-year-old Sabat el-Sa, a mother of twins born through the IVF procedure after 30 years of marriage. 'When the couples can't have children, it is always the woman to be blamed. Usually, men don't even do medical checks, while the whole family supports them and even insists they would get a second or third wife. In my case, my husband remarried to then find out that it was him, who couldn't have kids!'

In contrast to female infertility, male infertility is a taboo, especially in patriarchal societies like Gaza.

While it's true that the birth rate is still high, in the Strip there's been a significant increase in the number of infertility cases amongst men.

'In 90 percent of cases men suffer from either few or slow spermatozoa,' states Doctor Tharwat al Helou, for who a famous Gaza City clinic was named. 'Moreover, today most of the patients live in border areas, which are exposed to the military attacks, thus I believe there is a link between infertility and the advent of the three wars. Surely, to the traumas caused by the bombings, we must add the exposition to chemical agents, pesticides, and white phosphorus...'”

Parents be crazy sometimes, too.

Life is hard for the well-off, too.

Well-off people's incessant need to display how much they have in common with the "Ack! How can they possibly go along with that when he is so awful and they have daughters?" Trump voters.

Think about it.

God might actually be much less biased towards or against certain kinds of people than some of your parents are.

War, what is it good for in the 2020$.

Showing off how, in the 2020$, narcissistic, needy people of all backgrounds did not have to be from any one culture or race to still be pushing that Old Patriarchal White Supremacy Violent Colonizer Agenda? Someone's money has had to pay for all that destruction.

He'll have to make new friends.

What's a needy man going to do when he gets reincarnated into the body of an orphan that none of his acolytes care about? How will he get enough to eat?

The Patriarchal Patterns Are So Disturbing.

Although certain very rich people still love to perform their strange entitlement rituals of showing how much they want to cater to certain unwell rich man babies more than any other kind of person on the planet, you don't have to go along with their bigotry.

Just because they're completely addicted to uncaring, narcissistic, sociopathic, selfishness, which is so unwell that it can actually become genocidal, does going along with that stuff seem healthy to you?

Yikes. No.

It's also just a strange way to deal with the hand that their lives dealt them...

There are some very controlling, abusive people in entertainment world who really go out of their way to be dehumanizing.

Apparently, people who get paid to normalize biased, shallow worldviews based on lifestyles of cruelty and bigotry actually aren't the most trustworthy people.

Too many would've been the genocidal soldiers making TikToks or the Nazis if they had been born to other circumstances, and that's pretty sad.

Hey, quit knocking stuff over!

My cat has the best high meow and the nicest fur and not the greatest manners, though. But she is entertaining! Genuinely playful.

"Look for the helpers," said that guy who had a famous show for kids.

Maybe all the parents who actually don't want their descendants to turn themselves into uncaring narcissistic assholes just to get through life will be able help the needlessly starving ones?

Seriously! Part 3

I think some of you should start having much higher standards and expectations for respecting other human beings than what got role-modeled for you.

Seriously! Part 2.

Do you think she should feel better if, even though some not famous author or some other not famous types of rich entertaining people were the ones following her, they can still say:  "Hey we heard famous authors get away with stuff like this. We heard entertaining famous rich guys did stuff like this lots of times. We don't see why we can't do it too. We're just trying to have fun and entertain ourselves, too, and that's just another day in the good  life for us!"

Which type of body is best equipped for this kind of stuff under the watchful guidelines of Your Patriarchal Mindset?

"The need was urgent, Gupta recalled. She particularly remembered one patient who had driven hours by herself from Arizona for an abortion. After the procedure, 'she literally jumped off the table, started to get dressed and asked: ‘Can I go home now?’ Because she had arranged childcare for a certain amount of time.' Gupta and her colleagues begged her to stay just 10 minutes so they could observe her before she drove the four hours home.

'That is the level of motivation that we are seeing,' she said."

Seems unwise & unhealthy to do that, too.

Why should you discriminate against your own descendants, who will be different from you, even if you are their biological parents or grandparents?

Ever weirdly get a song in your head?

Some people seem to have been taught "I can't smile without discriminating against you," instead.

"Barry Manilow – 'Can't Smile Without You' Lyrics"

https://genius.com/Barry-manilow-cant-smile-without-you-lyrics

You keep on keeping on doing it. Why do you feel comfortable doing that??

So the patriarchy wants you discriminate against cancer survivors and me, too.

Even though I am not lucky enough to be "as genetically privileged as some," at this moment in my life, I do seem to be fortunate enough to not be suffering from cancer.

Do cancer survivors deserve to be discriminated against? Why should you discriminate against them?

Why should you discriminate against anybody?

Why does the prayer key want you to discriminate so much against so many different kinds of people?

Oops, not prayer key. I mean, the patriarchy.

Which apparently has gotten embedded into some people's prayer activities as well.

Controlling the narrative according to what suits your ego and your situation can be a fleeting experience.

"The stories women shared were 'devastating,' Schlanger said, ranging from people with multiple miscarriages, cancer survivors and some who had sold all their belongings to afford the medical procedure."

~ Jess Ruderman

"How Fenton and Resolve controlled the narrative..."

https://www.prweek.com/article/1867183/fenton-resolve-controlled-narrative-around-alabamas-ivf-ruling

Who honestly needs to be rewarded for being "genetically privileged" the most?

The "genetically privileged" people (according to stringent Patriarchal Norms) who choose to be shallow and discriminatory towards others as a coping mechanism, just to gain some social acceptance or financial stability, really and truly are like a bottomless pit of emotional needs which never can satisfied.

There's also a great hollow fakeness about them when they act like they are satisfied with being that way.

I don't trust them.

Parents who really aren't so into human rights

and still aren't so nice to many kinds of women may feel the need to highlight the people who have let them feel like they will get more support and rewards from Patriarchal Society for being not so into human rights for a variety of people.

Otherwise, why would they still want to go through life being one of those who normalizes being derogatory to women?

There's got to be all kinds economic payoffs and societal acceptance in it for them, to make them choose to behave that way.

The script wheels around and upends what we think we know about Hattie’s decline into self-destructive alcoholism and James’s success as a composer for an anodyne, oh-so-’90s Richard Curtis-style film about a cutout of a female character whose cancer teaches all the other male characters something."
