I could be happier later, like on a nature walk, but I feel it's healthier for me to be more honest when something is stirring up sadness. I don't need to "gaslight myself" either. It's better to feel genuinely happy after you have honored your other feelings, too. I could have very happy feelings, but if there's other ones I want to listen to, I will do that. It seems really better and in the long run healthier to be that way, right now.
