Review of a book I want to read more of

Rooted

But there is an essay in the book that already probably made the biggest impression.

"Stacked For Firewood" by Diana Hume George

"A white girl hanging out with "those Indian boys' in 1960s small-town America upset the white parents and teachers...It also angered the native girls" (65).

Enter Jane. They fight, then become friends.

"Now I had a protector among the people who were the victims of my people..." (67).

"What happened to Jane..." (69).

"It would be decades before I'd truly understand why..." (70).

And

And I can read

some of The Lonely Other...
