I would like to see that actually play out in real life because clearly, in this society, not all mothers do seem care very much about the well-being of all the world's children.

And a lot of men are probably still getting the message that they can find the women who are doing "what they're supposed to" do (according to the Patriarchal Society) and that's put men first.

It's like the grown men are the big kids everyone else is supposed to take care of first, so that's where their "As long as I run to them I don't have to change" attitudes come from.
