For example, the cat that we have now is the best, but at the same time she just kind of does what she wants and is not very rational about it.
Like if she brings something in and we pick it up and take it out, she goes back and looks for it in the spot where it used to be, because she wants it to be there, so she goes back there and looks for it. And she really enjoys herself while she's doing that too.
We put the prey in a dust pan right in front of her to take it out to the yard to let it go on the other side of the wall, but she decided to ignore that because she wants to keep on playing with the prey. The lizards are more likely to survive, and that's what she usually catches, instead of birds. But she caught two birds recently.
Also, I think when people say that cats bring in their little prey to you as gifts, they're kind of just being nice about it, and it's actually like, the cat's being a lot more selfish than that.
