I like how indigenous traditions are better about accepting a magical reality.

It's like, I was a girl wearing a big floral skirt and a white van drove into my skirt and disappeared, and I know that it happened, but I can't show it to people because they didn't see it happen. So I just have to describe it and see if they believe me. "I believe that you believed it happened," is not the same as being really listened to or feeling believed.
