I decided to order a good book.

"Your Illustrated Guide To Becoming One With The Universe by Yumi Sakugawa"| Goodreads

I really liked what I saw of it. I wanted to look at more of it. So I think it will be good to own, and then I can look inside of it on multiple occasions!

I also looked at the author's website and online presence and noticed she has cartoons about the scourge of "limerence." It was probably useful to look at those. It was probably really helpful.

To be honest, I felt a wee bit defensive. I think there's times when people get overly hung up about flawed things. Like, you ate too much dessert and now you're going to beat yourself up about it over and over again. Is that really necessary? I mean it depends on how much limerence has taken hold of your life.

If limerence has only been sort of happening a little bit here and there, maybe it just wants to be patted on the head and you can be like. Oh okay. Limerence happened. Hello limericks my old friend. Limericks could be the cousin of limerence and nobody's making a big deal about the scourge of limericks. In fact, they celebrate them.

I think women get guilt-tripped into feeling really ashamed if they had some limerence in their lives; like it's so adolescent that they were limerencing again. Why don't you just go read a romance novel instead of being unevolved and limerency? Well, I guess I just wonder if maybe limerence is not as evil as people think it is. That's all I'm saying. But it's probably not something you should allow to rule your life.

I will say that if you have a little bit of limerence going on and then you take a hard Pilates class, the limerence is kind of gone after that. And I'm not so sure I need to take hard Pilates classes. What if I just needed to take some kind of challenging Pilates classes to get back in the swing of things, and then I can start watching Pilates videos. And Yoga videos. Because when you get out of the habit of exercise, you're not super confident about performing certain moves. But later, it's like, when you say thread the needle, now I can just do it instead of getting overly hassled by anxiety. (Limerick smiles because anxiety is a whole other huge problem that needs attention.)

Yeah, so I think when guys guys get sucked into limerence, people tend to be more like "oh isn't that poetic and romantic and creative" and then when women get sucked into limericks it's like "now you're low self-esteeming. You need to fix yourself again. There's so many things you need to fix." Fix! Fix! Fix! Good! We like working on projects!

Here's a test. Would you rather have limerence or a good meal? Like when it comes right down to it, which would you rather have.

I think I would take the good meal.

Guys that indulge in limerence win prizes for their books. What do women get. ($ulk$)

Actually I feel like Taylor Swift has had a bit of limerence in her life, and she is certainly successful. What about anyone else's creative work tinged with anything that's either romantic or limerency?

What about this song? I think this is good.

Anyways. There are more thoughts out there about the topic.
