Why don't you tell your Pa that they courted nicely for several years before Laura got married at age 18 and a half, and they didn't kiss until they were officially engaged with a ring on her finger in the book. And also, Almanzo lied about his age to get a homestead and was actually probably several years younger than is recorded.
