Materialistic people have never seemed more brutally wrong in their reasoning to me than they did this year. How can owning more things make it seem more okay for you to choose dehumanize somebody who's in a different situation than you're in? Definitely seems destructive; it's like the destructiveness of that mindset outweighs any benefits that there might be. I do not want to become like that. I feel like it's impossible for me to ever become like that.
