It's good to get clear on what doesn't work and then figure out something better.

Also, I'm not acting like "I'm better than other people because I'm a mom" in this life (I don't have kids but I'm just saying, even if I did have kids in the future) because that's a form of minimizing girls and women and it's patriarchal b*******.  Maybe it's not a coincidence that some people who were really invested in that narrative seemed to be the ones who were great at attracting immature or sexist or sometimes even abusive men, by the way. At the very least, it's just insensitive. People who are mothers need more resources and help, but they don't need to be pushing that belief onto others just because society fed them a narrative like that as sort of a compensation for a reduced status as a woman in the patriarchy. And they're kind of dehumanizing themselves in the process too, if they think that way. Dehumanizing other people, and other people's children, who might not have the same kinds of genetics as they had. It's wrong, or it's just feels really wrong and damaging, to perpetuate that belief.
