'I think beetles are such scary creatures,' she complained. Her short, blond, very straight hair fell past her ears. 'Where then, Dot?'

'Sweet, sweet. Look, there's the angel scurrying around. What a cute, shiny little body. You can see yourself reflected in it.' She slid forward on her elbows into the path of the beetle. Mia shook her head a little... 'As unpresentable as Dot always looked...' Lenie sat down again with a light sigh. Dot was restless, and never tired at all. Now she rolled over and over like a naughty boy, then jumped up quickly and nimbly and came dancing closer on her toes."
