I don't get it though. Whyyy.

The fires came, and so did the fascism, and yet some people still clung with all their might to being as shallow as they could possibly be.

Why? Why? Why? Why? 

I don't know why. I guess some old habits are hard to break, maybe. Why? Well, why not?
