Addiction is not always so funny to witness.

There are some people who seem to be addicted to laughing off things while being mean and self-absorbed, and what I have noticed is, it may look like they're having a good time, but it doesn't feel so much like it's a good time to watch them.

It's like they're showing off so much about how good of a time that they're having, that it's like, maybe that's the whole point? Like, not to even relax and actually have a good time, but to perform having it?

It actually makes me feel very queasy to watch the mean ones do that stuff sometimes because I cannot forget about all of the other circumstances that have to be put into place in order to permit them to do their weird charade of having a good time in the first place.

And the implication that "If you thought more like us, then you'd be having more a good time like this too," feels painfully false.
