What if, in certain cultures, (like show biz, or academia, or perhaps in some other professions) there are folks who routinely get a lot of attention because they've worked hard at getting noticed, and yet they still seem to feel like they can never get enough...what if they are living out a simultaneous reality as a neglected child of Omelas?
