But some who were really molded by shallow patriarchal standards still have a long ways to go. They really must learn how to respect women of all backgrounds more, and that is a gift that seems directly related to how they view, value, and treat themselves, which was, for some of them, influenced by pretty flimsy patriarchal standards of what such things ("values?" etcetra) even mean.
