It would be truthful to admit that some communities still do not want women to treat other women decently.

Sexism and inequality persists because many forces work upon all kinds of insecure people in different ways.

There is still pressure for women to pretend the old patriarchal ways are fine and good enough for them and for everybody else, too. 

Sometimes the ones who benefited the most from the system really don't seem to want any significant changes to actually happen.
