The point of the universe in telling me to pay attention to the people who lived before is that while their relationship wasn't perfect, they cared, but they had a very hard time communicating that sometimes. And so, one friend had a feeling she would not be around for much longer, but he didn't know that and their lives had been completely intertwined, so that's why it was a shock. The coping mechanisms fell apart in that household when a sudden early death affected it. It was not so much that they needed to be perfect or together always, but they just needed to make more attempts to communicate what was going on for them. And those attempts can be more helpful than people realize. Especially if someone leaves, and another person is left behind. Thats why it's worth it to reach out and try to show another some kind of communication about how you are feeling.
