Just because some people grew up seeing a lot of people make excuses for unhealthy patriarchal practices in church environments and other places doesn't mean old unhealthy patterns have to be repeated.

I think more positive change will happen more quickly when a lot of people stop lying to themselves for temporary dopamine rushes and get more motivated to build something better.
