Met a winery owner. He was nice. He's done lots of skiing. He helps others learn how. I think he would be a very good instructor.
A unique life experience. Not everyone and their friends were leaving LA and buying ranches in 70s. One of his friends said he'd never move out to the country, so he invited the friend to the place...the next time he saw him, the friend was wearing cowboy boots. Bought a ranch in Bakersfield. Put a runway strip down so he could fly right in. Had people over for duck hunting. Used his flying skills or whatever to scare the ducks from others' ponds so his pond had the most. But winery owner doesn't really care to go duck hunting.
He used to make a white merlot. It attracted some persons of renown to the winery, but he likes to be low key if anyone famous shows up because people are people!
