In the early 2020s, patriarchal societies wanted women to be smiley, fixated on how much they love a man, and ignore the impoverished conditions inflicted upon large portions of the population.
Rape culture is a part of the impoverished conditions.
I changed norms to societies because maybe it won't be considered normal to be that way?
