Impressed by a film last night

"Jane Campion on ‘The Power of the Dog’ and Tackling Toxic Masculinity" – The Hollywood Reporter

Afterwards I thought I would read more about the analysis of the story, or interviews with the director. But instead I got sucked into stories about Kirsten Dunst's fairytale heteronormativity, which quickly depressed me, so I cried.

With relief, I fell asleep and had a dream about a student loan exit interview. It turned into me talking about where I chose to go to college and why.

When I was 19 and bleeding so much I started to feel deprived of oxygen, the girls in my dorm took me to the hospital, and feed me a meal with iron (meat) at the Waffle House afterwards, and brought me food from the cafeteria with more iron (meat) for days.

Now I have noticed that the friends from my college days who I correspond with the most regularly are women who are not moms and do not use Facebook.

The cat jumped on me and started purring on my arm as I was typing. Then she left to amuse herself with other activities. I am almost thinking about what recipes I could try this weekend...

She's back.
