It's always interrupted. Having been raised in a patriarchy which is still making too many excuses for people engaging in selfish and insensitive behaviors within a system which is far more tolerant of sportsfan dads (college students and high school students who have violated others felt permitted to do as a result of the attitudes of people around them) who were raised to believe God put them first and to dehumanise sexual assault survivors (slashes on a girl's wrists) so that they may enjoy a basketball game (too many still too scared to admit to enabling unhealthy behavior patterns) it definitely feels like many of the excuses a lot of people (women and men) are still making--in order to survive within an unhealthy system--are causing far too much harm (they are too scared to take responsibility & stop being bystanders). It feels like a lot of people have died or come too close to death already thanks to that selfishness and insensitivity.
