Laughing at Poverty

Restaurant experiences!

Peevish male patron grumbling because no one was ever working hard enough, but he sat with a son who was much nicer to all. Oh, son. If only you were the one...let's be grateful your dad loved you enough to listen to you and tone it down just a notch.

T.A. ~ "The Waitress"

What if she (not the one who said she wanted to kiss you) were different now. Sometimes she was cute and funny. Someone to watch as she worked alongside others. She was training to be a cop and had many brothers. But the tiresome things she said, about women. "I don't agree with you." "Well, I don't know if I agree with me either." She might have seen Promising Young Woman by now.  She might have had discussions with her brothers. She did sometimes like to try to mess with you. It was a little scary. If you just acted bored, though, she would give up. That does work sometimes. She was different from another woman, though, who had even less of a conscience, but also worked there. Laughing at poverty. That other one could also be charming, but if there's one you'd pick to cave in and align with Nazis...all of them could be nice sometimes. You shared food after buffets, or more rarely, if someone went out for an order of pho. Always remember, a restaurant can be a place.

T.A. ~ "Purple People"

Why did so many women working there want to pursue forensics.
