I was thinking about society again.

My version of why I sat next to a unique man on two planes years ago is because years before, in a museum, his son asked for help, and it reminded me of situations I had been in, so I talked to the father because I was asked to help, and to be an adult who acknowledges things. So I made an impression. Then I forgot about it, but he did not. Maybe the impression was kind of motherly.

Maybe paying attention to things qualifies as motherly sometimes. Even if a man pays attention, that could be motherly. Even if society doesn't encourage them to do it all that much. No one's going to throw us a party for it, but that's not why you do it.
