WOW what if in an alternate reality I am the bad guy and I just give a whole lot of money away to make up for it. What an idea, so much easier than growing as a person or becoming more considerate. There's also religious precedent for that sort of gesture. Something to consider, as a last resort, if I can do no better. No wonder people find money to be useful.
