I have a friendliness side inside

I feel better when I get to creatively (maybe even sing!) complain about all my little educational pains ~~tra~~laalaaah~~~

Bible verse time! On Sunday, two women came to my door and told me to look at Peter...I'll find it...Yes, Bible Hub, with its multitude of translations is here to help!

I have overdone it with television just recently.

Come, dress in feminine clothing

And play act the "female miseries" as a kind of sketch...way to amuse....song, dance, chewing on frozen raw ginger....

Hot face and wondering about cloistered life

Feeling like I should be indoors and sleeping a lot soon. Mostly because of feeling ill.

Some medicine on the weekend

I decluttered and felt productive and who knew that would be such an important thing. It was all rainy and Pacific Northwesty and I watched way too much of this show on purpose.

And life

Watching hummingbirds feed.

Because I moved very far away from home as a child and experienced shifting family dynamics and immense loneliness, I also learned a lot by getting immersed in stories and books and music.

I know what they say about certain ingredients and certain body types, but I decided life is too short not to try the 85C Bakery and I do not regret my decision. The experience was delicious. I WILL STILL EAT SALAD AND PROTEIN. For some reason, a woman with a baby in a stroller kept smiling at me when I was in there. The vibes were harmonious. The bakery just seemed so nice! The people behind the counter seemed to be in good moods, as well.

I thought, did he and I meet when I was still a teenager? (The good person I like/love/live with!)

So I looked for a bulletin from 22 years ago.

Hey, I remember those people on the cover of it. They were real students. Didn't I volunteer at a soup kitchen with one of them? They received avocados and made guacamole or some kind of similar sauce...

I know we met when there was a celebration for the school's new president.

But was that on the first day of school? Or before? Or after?

The first day of school was 22 years ago tomorrow.

Survival you say

"GAO found not only that the rich are getting richer and the poor, poorer, but provided evidence that led Sanders to conclude that poverty is, in effect, a death sentence: The rich are living longer lives, while poor Americans are dying young."

https://www.sanders.senate.gov/newsroom/press-releases/poverty-a-death-sentence-sanders-declares-as-gao-links-inequality-to-mortality

"GAO found that among Americans aged 51-61 in 1992, fewer than half of those in the poorest 20 percent of America’s wealth distribution had survived by 2014—48 percent. Among the richest 20 percent, 75.5 percent were still alive. The poorest 20 percent were twice as likely to die over the 22-year period than the wealthiest 20 percent."

https://www.sanders.senate.gov/newsroom/press-releases/poverty-a-death-sentence-sanders-declares-as-gao-links-inequality-to-mortality

“Poverty is a life-threatening issue for millions of people in this country, and this report confirms it,” said Sanders. “We are in a crisis never before seen in a rich, industrialized democracy. For three straight years, overall life expectancy in the wealthiest nation in world history has been declining, often driven by deaths of desperation and despair: liver disease, drug overdoses, and suicide. We must put an end to the obscene income and wealth inequality in our country, and ensure living wages, quality health care, and retirement security for our seniors as human rights. If we do not urgently act to solve the economic distress of millions of Americans, a whole generation will be condemned to early death.”

https://www.sanders.senate.gov/newsroom/press-releases/poverty-a-death-sentence-sanders-declares-as-gao-links-inequality-to-mortality

"GAO also confirmed America’s decades-long growth in wealth inequality: The average wealth of the top 20 percent of older households more than doubled, from $2.1 million in 1989 to $4.6 million in 2016. By comparison, the average wealth of an older household in the bottom 20 percent plummeted, from $4,500 in 1989, to negative $4,300 in 2013—more debt than assets."

https://www.sanders.senate.gov/newsroom/press-releases/poverty-a-death-sentence-sanders-declares-as-gao-links-inequality-to-mortality

"GAO research also highlighted profound income inequality, finding that one in five older households lived on less than $22,000 in 2016, with the bottom quintile averaging just $14,000 in annual income. By comparison, the top 20 percent of older households had average annual income 28 times higher than the bottom 20 percent—$398,000 in 2016, up from $242,000 in 1989."

So long, West Point engineering center

"President Trump's decision to divert funds away from this center in order to pay for the border wall demonstrates his disregard for true national security threats and his fixation on a project that will solve no national security issues," he said. "If President Trump really wanted to solve migration issues, he would use smarter means, including those that would address the root causes."

"It is disappointing that funds that were dedicated to an important center -- one focused on real national security imperatives -- will now be used to construct a symbol of exclusion that relinquishes America's moral authority on human rights," Haas added.

https://www.cnn.com/2019/09/06/politics/trump-divert-military-construction-funds-border-wall-local-reaction/index.html

Bye, school for military families!

“Most of our students don’t know what it’s like to live in a world without war, where you don’t have to worry about Mom or Pop being killed,” said Jane Loggins, a Fort Campbell teacher who is the director of the Federal Education Association’s Stateside Region, the teachers’ union for the Defense Department’s education system in the United States and Guam. “The one big benefit of this school is that we try to support all those emotional needs.”

In normal times, the Fort Campbell middle school project would have a powerful political ally in Senator Mitch McConnell, Republican of Kentucky and the majority leader. In a January op-ed in The Louisville Courier-Journal headlined “Here’s How Kentucky Families Benefit From McConnell’s Clout in D.C.,” Mr. McConnell boasted that he had “secured much-needed assistance for Fort Campbell, Fort Knox and the Blue Grass Army Depot, helping the men and women serving there keep America safe.”

But that was before Mr. Trump declared in February that there was a national emergency at the border with Mexico, allowing him to divert money from military projects without first getting approval from Congress. The next month, Mr. McConnell backed the president in a Senate vote on the national emergency declaration. (Kentucky’s other senator, the Republican Rand Paul, voted against Mr. Trump.)

I am not going to be very mad at a man for now...his childhood was full of emotional deprivation.

A good Dorian story

"The 6-year-old opened a hot dog stand along the side of a busy road in Allendale and offered those escaping the coast free franks, water, chips and prayers."

Revised airplane ride because why not

XY: Good evening, I would like to spy on your phone tonight before we evade death.

XX: Whatever. JUST LOOK AT THIS WEBSITE:

https://www.yourhormones.com/joseph-j-collins/

"His functional endocrinology clinical practice focuses on adrenal fatigue, hypothyroidism, menopause, andropause, PMS/PMDD, PCOS and blood sugar disorders."

How did he know about PMDD before someone who was actually suffering from it!

KNOWLEDGE IS POWER

REARRANGE LETTERS AND SPELL SIMULATION

"The higher cortisol may cause an increase in blood sugar levels, causing an imbalance in the Glucose-Insulin-System (GIS), while the higher aldosterone can adversely affect the Renin-Angiotensin-Aldosterone System (RAAS). The epinephrine and norepinephrine disrupt the Sympatho-Adrenomedullary System (SAS), which in turn can adversely affect Hypothalamic-Pituitary-Gonadal (HPG) axis and the Hypothalamic-Pituitary-Thyroid (HPT) axis. These in turn disrupt the function of the Neuro-Endocrine-Immune (NEI) system and the Brain Monoaminergic System (BMS) as well as the Ghrelin-Leptin-Adiponectin System (GLAS). Collectively, these changes place a heavy burden on the Hepatic Detoxification System (HDS) and the REDuction-OXidation System (REDOX), which ultimately affect the Cellular Signaling Systems (CSS)."

KARMA

Guess it's alright I wasn't a nutritionist

A two weeks off of wine and sugar and then a slight indulgence with lots of filtered water kind of person.

Have to get some zzz's but

I can support the youth and their creativity.

Also about being14 in that place during that time

It was a huge shock to have one foot in the "childhood" portion of life and the other foot in "I could get married and have a baby soon." Some girls who were only a year or two older than I already had babies then.

They were young mothers in high school and they drove around with their little ones riding in the back of the car. From at least one of them, I got rides on occasion.

Because because because because BECAUSE

I wanted to know what it was like, I watched

Vashon Island Gravel Pits (circa 2017)

while listening to

Air - La Femme d'Argent

I was a young person and everyone had been there but me

(almost all under the influence of some kind of herbal or chemical substance while visiting)

that was the 90s BEFORE E-MAIL even!!!!

I thought I would do it too some time, but I didn't

I never did!

I moved away...

AND IT CAME BACK TO ME FOR SOME REASON

Little 14

I LIVED THERE

How did it escape me

How can decades and decades go by like that

It's a thing to do that I don't mind at all right now

Yeah I can listen to The Art of Stillness late at night and do kitchen choresbecause recently a friend just scarcely mentioned him. I mean, she mostly goes to Buddhist monasteries nowadays but when I brought up the other type she mentioned his writing. And I am thinking about how I  loved her house when I was a kid. The dysfunctional camaraderie...ah...even though there were some harsh elements too...

I love that we met.

SAGE

Surely we'll meet again, after she's finished her Nepal adventure.

Yes I missed a lot of the talk. I could listen to it again.

Ping pong

Passions are curious things.

https://www.ted.com/talks/pico_iyer_what_ping_pong_taught_me_about_life

"Prince Charles’s crown at his investiture had a golden orb made out of a ping-pong ball."

Thank you body

Body is the greatest teacher ever. Pretty bad wake up with pain in a lung area after feeling so awful. Time to be a better steward of a body with multiple "issues" but wait, it gets better. Maybe could think more about the butterflies that have been showing themselves... And the rehabilitated sea lions going back into the sea... Then go on from there...

it's a life...what's there to be sad about?

besides hurricanes?

it's sad the creative side and the introvert side are at odds and seemingly neither side ever wins and this is true for so many people on earth they are everywhere  pitta - kapha...you're natures are battling each other...but if you get in balance you will do very well...I think it's more kapha as time goes but there's some pitta still...still others would say it's genetics or progestorone...

and it's almost laundry time

1st

quelling sadness by consuming a mostly fully done chickpea flour flatbread
made in a small ceramic pan

throwing away old papers too

hundreds and hundreds of times

she read Little Women

https://www.thisamericanlife.org/680/the-weight-of-words

(mentioned sometime between minute 16 and 17)

AND WHY???

(beyond minute 17)

those words

"never never never have sugar ever"

really puts me in a !@#$%^&*

think that's bad for the stress hormones and such

ok you can distract me

https://www.thisamericanlife.org/680/the-weight-of-words

while i accomplish little tasks

~~~~~~
"they thought she needed to be thin to get married, so they locked the fridge" (somewhere between minute 12 and 13)
VERY INTERESTING EPISODE
*you'll never know true love until you become a mother grow a baby in your uterus and push one out of your body, eh*
It's a a real one
A........a hospital.
And
it's getting ready for a real hurricane.
Voices and visions and such
Good show!
"After cataloging insects in Vietnam, a devout Mormon is dragged into a world that upends everything he knows to be true."
