You most certainly can sub 99 cent store rice cereal for panko "bread" crumbs. Even though they r messy and u feel like the process is a REMINDER of life's torment and suffering still ur lucky to go to the Farmers Market and get 3 that are big enough in a bunch to stuff properly.
Dip, cover in rice cereal, and bake.
It's great.
Also you can use the leftover stuff in a mixture and roll into balls / coat w/ baby rice cereal.
