They remind you that needless cruelty is very inefficient.
They also remind you that it would be much wiser to get therapy and rehabilitation for a sad childhood instead of reenacting those terrible, controlling, abusive behavior patterns and mistreating other people.

There is no way that I believe in the inherent good intentions of an insecure woman who actually took extra time to come to a library to spy on me and other people just because one of her offspring through no fault of my own
sat by me on a form of public transport.
Based on their choices and behavior patterns, I have no reason to believe certain people are actually concerned about children's well-being beyond their own narcissistic, self-promoting activities. Especially children who would have been very badly treated during their own racist, misogynist, apartheid upbringing.
