Are there not some very entitled-acting people on this planet who behave as if it is okay to disregard a lot of people and their experiences?

Income equality and bigotry are apparently still good enough for some people who have found ways to survive or even profit off the system.
Even though some people might have very good intentions, when they choose to stay willfully ignorant of their complicity and the effects of their harmful behaviors on others because it would be too painful to admit, it skews those intentions and shows they don't really want to change.
The phenomenon of people treating women poorly in order to prop up insecure male egos still exists. People have been trained to do this in order to survive in a really unhealthy patriarchal system.
Yes, that is something that does destroy a lot of creative possibilities which might otherwise have been marvelous.
