Kids, comic books, etc.

In the coffee shop this evening, one boy and two girls were talking about comic books and superheroes in movies. Guess which one of the three was dominating the conversation and giving orders and instructions about how the other two should watch movies, etc.

So, the guy declared that he is a Marvel fan. And one of the girls said DC comics have better female characters. Oooooh. Then he started listing all the female characters that Marvel has.

I think they were students, but maybe just a few years out of high school. This is because the guy said he was very impressed with the first Avengers movie, which he saw when he was a junior.

He said there was a movie he cried at when a female character died. I don't remember which movie. He also projected into the future by saying "When we're thirty and our kids are watching movies..." I realize I don't remember much of what the girls said, but he was clearly the most vocal of the bunch.

"And now it's probably getting past your bedtime?" he said to them, signalling that it was time to go.

He sure did talk a lot.

Ha ha.
