"Where there are over 100,000 Hispanics/Latine individuals, with about 8% of the population estimated to be undocumented– that’s over 38,000 people. There are also about 12,000 Indigenous Mexicans, and many do not speak English or Spanish. Common languages spoken by Indigenous folk in the area are Mixtec, Triqui, Maya, Chatino, and Zapotec.
Indigenous Mexicans are not Hispanic or Latine, so this presents a huge language barrier for the community when it comes to informing them about wildfire dangers and evacuations."

Some traditional stuff is just bad for some people.
There are many old patterns that no longer serve large portions of humanity, and some of us get told by the universe more strongly that those patterns need to change sooner than others, I guess.
Things could be better...
Sometimes think propping up certain people with certain genetics while ignoring lots of other stuff going on is just toxic positivity.

Will I become magically more in touch with the lighthearted side of life, instead of all the creepy things that people need to fix with therapy and whatnot. Hmmm.
Life goes on...
After you listen to a meditation for your health and fall asleep and wake up and spontaneously decide to look up a name that was part of a certain kind of childhood experience.
And look, there is someone who appears to somewhat in touch with his inner child.
Ears are such exquisite organs
BUT. Like that lady was telling me about how yeah a cat is nice but...blah blah blah. I can't even. With these people. Sometimes. Even though I halfway see their POV. More than that. I feel their POV. But then it fades. Back to my inner child and The Earache Mission. I mean the Ear Healing Mission.
What if whining HELPS
What if it is soooo.......what if angels can help you....what about your inner whining child. What about that one!!!!! WHINE. Angels might be patient. They are divine!
WHINE NOT?
Why does my ear have to be soooo...whyyyyy....
Everyone with a happier ear is so lucky...
Not fair...
What is my personal health mission
For myself, my body, and my right ear. Which sometimes seems better and then "Nope, not quite better yet." I am really going to have to figure out this assignment.

I would love to feel that health and good care are coming into our lives. I am fortunate to live with someone very kind and laid back. The thing that made me feel better tonight was when he put a rose quartz roller I got for Christmas on my back. I finally started to feel more human. It was so heavy to experience that depression. It was so heavy. Now I want more lightness. People can have more lightness. They can heal. They can accept better ways of living on this planet. I want to feel better and I am grateful the process has started to happen. I have an off and on earache on the right. I hope that improves a lot after I sleep more. I feel grateful for improvements.

Yes, it really seems like a great idea.
People can get better at learning how to be relaxed. It's a helpful trait and useful skill. Wow. There must be a lot to learn about that.
Wouldn't it be beautiful if more people knew how to really relax
O I am pretty sure that I am going to be able to have a quiet life and O I just do not mind it at all...It's like, maybe I wish in the future that I might be more accomplished, but why would I need it now? All I need now is so much peace and quiet. I was having an earache recently but it might be getting better. There are things you can do to relax facial muscles.

"Anne Wingenter: 'The thing about fascism is that it's a really contradictory experience for women. ... If you're looking at it from the top down, the picture is very simple. We know exactly what the fascists wanted from women, and they never tired of saying it. What's really complicated is trying to understand from the bottom up.''That is, how did women experience those policies? Because at the same time, they're being told, Go home and have children, so that we can build the army of the future, or expand colonially or for whatever reason. But at the same time, they're being mobilized to come to rallies. They have roles in public parades.'
'They're brought to Rome to receive prizes if they have more children than anyone else in their province. So there is this kind of push pull between this idea of a traditional place that they have to stay, but also this recognition, this place in the public sphere. And so women experience that in really contradictory ways.'"

O Patriarchy.
Actually, I feel almost a solemn duty sometimes
Actually, I believe I will choose to be a Guardian of my Health.
I will still do a meditation, and pray, as one might on the brink of the outbreak of a war, for a better future and for peace.
I think some people just mistreat others because they learned it was fine to mistreat a part of themselves. Then it comes out in how they express themselves and how they choose to deal with others. But why?
Some of these people might just be choosing to be really clueless about how that can also affect them, also.
This is a sad pattern but it could improve.
People could become healthier.
PEOPLE REALLY ARE CAPABLE OF DOING GOOD THINGS.
You know, maybe instead of a beautiful meditation video
I could find a video of poor women screaming and wailing just because patriarchal people are being so terrible to them right now?
Would that be very cathartic?

I really think the people who are at present being rewarded while behaving like irresponsible sexist jerks should get help from somewhere.
They are just so out of balance. You could cry.
However, as long as they get rewarded for their mediocre attitudes towards fellow human beings, who knows if they ever will?
Nevertheless, I still think they should get help, possibly from a higher power.
I think that it would be for their own benefit. Truly!

It's become very apparent that there are still patriarchal people who have acquired a way of dealing with reality because that works okay for them for now. This occurs in many industries. There are people with particular kinds of issues who get excuses made for them constantly. There are all kinds of reasons...but is that really...a good excuse?

If some people currently choose to have that "do not care" attitude, they probably choose it because there's some kind of short term gains for them, but there's no guarantee it will remain their choice to feel as well-served by casual negligence in the future.

"Now, almost eight months into the Taliban take-over, which dramatically changed education for girls, that day seems like a distant dream for Heela's family. Last week, the young girl attempted to end her life by taking over 20 sleeping pills. After finding her unconscious one morning, Heela's family rushed her to hospital where she was saved.
Heela's mother, who is hiding at home along with her four daughters, said to me: 'Maybe ending our lives will be easier than continuing this life.' Since the Taliban took control, scores of former government workers, security forces, female police officers, lawyers and judges have either been killed or disappeared.

This Sunday, I confess
Sometimes I get thoughts in my head, such as, "I am sure B.O. and the blondes are also happy that he's been deeply honored to be a part of such a revolutionary show for television as Undone. In the celebrity culture of 2022, it's the kind of happy that you find when you look on the inside."
I just woke up from a dream about food scarcity. It involved being able to survive off of a small sack of potatoes! Would anyone in this mean old world be able to tell me what that could be about? Other than I should see if I can dig out an old poem about seeing a whiter looking dude sitting by himself on the altiplano from the window of my bus as I traveled through Peru in the late 90s. It was quite startling. I compared him to the inside of a potato.
PAPAS! Now I think I might like to eat a potato dish.

"WENDY OLMSTEAD, California State University, Stanislaus 'During the process of selecting a book for our OneBook campus program, we talked to students, staff, and faculty about what resonates most with them. Students, in particular, have told us that they don't want to hear any more doom and gloom stories about climate change. They want to read a book that is a story, a hopeful story, about the human relationship with the earth. Braiding Sweetgrass fits perfectly with our goals to instill a sense of place in our campus community who live in California's Central Valley surrounded by agriculture, but largely disconnected from nature. We gave the book to some students to read and they returned physically hugging the book and telling us how much they love it for its gentle and loving approach. That has been the response from everyone who has read it.'”

Warren went to the University of Houston when it was $50 a semester. 'Five zero,' she said. Her father worked as a janitor and her mother answered telephones at Sears, but Warren could afford college as a part-time waitress. 'That opportunity does not exist today,' Warren told me. It's just when I compare knowing a person who has been through so many things and tried many different professions while negotiating PTSD and during the pandemic was working at a hospital in the OR and taking online computer classes and eventually worked her way up to a full-time position and salary in a hospital using those skills just like society says you should and now thanks to inflation and student loan payments she still can't be sure she can afford to rent a one bedroom apartment even though it's in a farther away less expensive area
to the just plain old-fashioned male entitlement and insensitivity and rudeness of some other people who are always getting a pass from others and are rewarded for that behavior whereas I and many others never would be (nor do we want to be, I would say)

Aren't people on Earth funny.
Once many years ago I was visiting my grandparents place over the holidays. I felt I had to get back to my father's place so he wouldn't be alone on New Year's Eve. "Oh, are you leaving already? I thought you were going to stay and dance the polka," said Grandpa. "No, I have to get back." So I drove back, only to find the man was in a not very communicative mood and had zero interest in hanging out. "Guess I should've stayed up North and danced the polka," I thought.
